Blame the obtuse nature of it all.
Fast travel would ruin the game. Part of what makes Dragon's Dogma so awesome is the fact that it feels like a consistent adventure- both in high and low points. Besides, it would remove the sense of danger you get if you aren't careful, and the fear of it becoming night time before you reach your destination (or go back to the city). It'd just take away a part of what makes the game stand out, instead making it much more mindless as far as traveling goes.
I agree...
The game itself doesn't need 2 million to break even, it needs 2 million to pay for THQ's other mistakes, most likely.
You mean for the worse?
"it sounds like they're going to use the standard turn-based battle system."
The combat is in real time. It's closer to a CRPG than an action RPG, though.
The PS3 had Talladega Nights, though.
"JK herself is involved, which alone speaks volumes"
I'm more led to believe that it's her name being used as a marketing tool more than anything, if not about the ONLY thing. I mean, half of the time they spent on this they were throwing around "GUYS J.K. ROWLING IS INVOLVED I MEAN J.K. ROWLING IS INVOLVED THIS IS TOTALLY GREAT NOW LET US THROW THE J.K. ROWLING NAME IN HERE AGAIN. WAIT YOU MEAN SHE'S NOT COMING? SHE DOESN'T CARE ENOUGH? WHATEVE...
I think this means that we're getting a physical copy. I mean, NISA is usually fond of those.
As for Yakuza, Acquire is usually quite open for localizations, unlike SEGA, which either localizes their own shit or it doesn't see an overseas release (usually).
@ABizzel1
Beyond looked like a crappy fanfiction about some Mary Sue and her best imaginary friend fighting off an obviously EBIL GUISE S.W.A.T. guy. Explosions and idiocy included, with the cherry of "emotions and deepness" on top. Besides, calling it a game when no gameplay was shown is...stretching it a little bit.
Rayman Legends deserves that third spot instead.
"No Mr Caffeine = Win"
Sadly he was replaced by two equally unfunny and obnoxious idiots.
Also, that one Rayman Legends stage where it synched up with the music was just incredible.
That art
That website
That Comic Sans
Oh god, the horror indeed.
Yeah, a beautiful, genuine RPG these days might as well be considered a trainwreck.
$150?
lol
Unlike you, glorious knight from a prestigious corp dedicated to...defending things online?
Surely your superiority amongst the plebeian critics (which are, by the way, correct in most aspects) is shown with your honorary title, as well as white stallion and shiny armor granted by the Duke of Blizzard for defending his creations from the ugly, poor and smelly loafers that roam around the Kingdom of the Internet. For the Duke shall make no mistake in wording or actions ever. E...
It would be.
I don't own one, myself, but Android has a plethora of emulators, and the Xperia Play is pretty much the only phone to have buttons suited for games, so I'd totally understand why people would have one.
I love how a game more than a decade old has more graphical detail than its modern sequel.
GG, Blizzard.
Yakuza, Rhythm Thief AND Anarchy Reigns?
Please let this be false, those are like the best games SEGA could publish this year.
@Stretch
The bandit's level was much higher than yours?
It's like you haven't played an RPG that isn't from this generation, holy fuck.
Anyone who dares to dub themselves with the terrible title of "gamer" is all but passionate about the hobby, actually. Or so I'm led to believe, because seriously, gamer? SERIOUSLY? I thought that was a word only idiotic journalists, teenagers in search of recognition and females in search of attention used.
