Judge: "Well, a guy on N4G with a Fairy Tail icon thinks you're guilty so....."
If the fans are better than them, why do they need their engine to do these?
They're so good, they should be able to make their own superior game.
Oh sure, you people line up to play rpgs where every woman has DD breasts, but the second you see a wiener in the game you can't handle it.
I don't see why you can't be a Vegan and Slutty.
Theoretically, they're craving meat more than anyone.
"Says 7 has mundane enemy designs....praises RE2 which objectively is 90% mundane, zombified humans".
Star Ocean has NEVER been a "sci-fi rpg".
It's about...get this, visiting a bunch of different planets in an ocean of stars. All which are have are in different eras of development. Thus why some are "fantasy"(actually medieval), and others are futuristic.
Something being "ahead of its time" isn't a positive. The ability to read what will work in the here and now is more impressive.
Star Ocean never had much stock even at its peak popularity with "Till the end of time".
There's little incentive for developers to rehaul it when they can just make a new series from scratch.
Star Ocean literally exists because of former Tales developers who left and formed Tri-Ace. This is idiotic.
Its not a tales game without a bloated, backtracking filled last 10 hours.
There is one constant in the series, and that's the battle system.
All the entries have their individual faults, but you can always expect fun battles.
Cool story. Only it's a remake. It's being advertised as a remake. It's also PRICED as a full price remake.
But continue lowering the bar for Gamefreak/Nintendo. Thanks to people like you, in gen.10, we'll have Gen.5 remakes that change 5 lines of text, and you'll still be here trying to justify it costing $70.
They're the same team, idiot.
There is battling...it's in the debut trailer. The hell are you smoking?
BS. Star Ocean 4 took as big of a risk with a bigger budget, for its console generation, as this is for this generation.
Tales has always just been the more successful franchise due to the heavier anime focus. And more success means more money to make future games with.
The fact you're mentioning Pokemon means that it isn't.
The truly successful monster raising games are the ones that carved out enough of a unique identity to not be called Pokemon clones. Almost any of the SMT games that let you recruit monsters for example. Or the "Monsters" branch of DQ games.
It's pretty clear what people were expecting - What gamefreak has delivered with remakes for the past 20 years.
Gen.8 engine, new Pokemon forms, redesigned characters, maps remade for full 3d movement, inclusion of newer pokemon, etc.
Well, it is literally made by amateurs. A developer with only an app, and help on other games, to their name.
Not excusing the result we're getting, just saying.
Sony bias at its finest.
If the n64 and Gamecube were failures because they didn't outsell their competitors in that generation, then the PS3 is also a failure. Not to mention any of Sony's handhelds.
I'd say Ultra Sun/Moon is the lone exception to this. It notoriously has huge difficulty spikes with the boss battles.
