I got Driver through Gamefly earlier this week. It may not be worth $60, but it's actually a lot more enjoyable than I would have given it credit for. The whole body jumping thing is actually a fun mechanic, although it still makes the story a bit nonsensical. I really hope the next Driver gets back to the more serious tone of the previous games.

But still, it's worth checking out, even if it is just a rental.

Personally, I could care less about the offensive code. Anyone who gets butthurt over a simple line of code probably has some other issues they need to look into. People need to grow a goddamn backbone and get over themselves already.

Now as far as releasing a buggy game... If you know it's buggy, don't release it. I'm not talking about hidden obscure bugs that are hard to replicate after several hours of gameplay, either. I'm talking the bugs that pull...

I still don't understand the point of that. Let's charge $50 a year to give early access to the DLC, so they can play the new content with a limited number of other people who also pay to get early access. What happens if it doesn't go over that well and people are stuck with a small number of people to play on the new content with?

Given the number of people who refuse to play MMOs because they have to pay monthly for them, I don't see why this would be a...

"truth hurts sometimes...doesn't it?"

I dunno, I find no pain at all in calling him an asshole.

Go play Halo or Call of Duty on just about any Xbox Live server and then tell me only PS3 players are racist.

Why is it that everyone uses the same dumbass looking photo of this guy whenever there is a news article involving him? Honestly, it looks like he's taking a picture of himself with a cell phone. All that's missing is for him to be standing in front of a mirror in the bathroom making that stupid duck-lip face chicks make.

Oh, and as for the prediction? Meh.

Hell no. The only thing I like about the 360 controller is the shape of the trigger buttons. I prefer the symmetrical analog sticks and the fact that the stupid battery compartment doesn't get in my way when I'm stretching out my fingers without letting go of the controller.

Oh I played the single player demo, hence how I was able to form my opinion about it. As far as I saw from the entire thing, it never "becomes to start having sense." Once the price drops on Steam (can't imagine it staying out of the bargain bin price range for long) I might pick it up, or I might add it to my Gamefly queue if there's ever a lull in what I want to rent, otherwise there's no way I'll pay full retail for it.

I haven't tried the multiplayer yet, but I have to be honest and say I found the whole "body jumping" thing to be absolutely retarded. Driver has always been one of those franchises that I've wanted to like, but has never seemed to really be able to live up to its potential. Driver: Parallel Lines wasn't too bad, and I absolutely loved how they did the wanted system for that game, so when San Francisco was announced I was really looking forward to seeing what they woul...

I'm not all that excited about Space Marine as I've got a bunch of other stuff going on in September, and October and November (and beyond) will be swamped with RAGE, BF3, and Skyrim, but that statement just made me want to kick a baby seal.

Everyone is saying Space Marine copied Gears of War with the whole chainsaw sword thing, when in fact Cliffy B (in one of his rare moments of not being a complete tool) admitted that the idea for the chainsaw gun came from Warha...

If the DLC were coming out 11/11/11 you'd have a point, but that's not the case here. Bethesda has already said they won't be releasing small DLC packs, but instead will be doing larger expansion style packs similar to New Vegas' DLC. We probably won't see the first DLC until April of next year, if not later, which means that most people will already be done with a sizable portion of the game and will be ready for new content.

Granted, at that point I&...

You are aware that the DLC probably won't be out for a good 3 or 4 months, if not longer, after the initial release, right? If in 3 to 4 months of playing you still haven't even scratched the surface, then I might suggest actually starting the game instead of just staring at the menu screen.

I was wondering when they would get around to bringing that out on the market. Saw some early videos about that last year and it looked pretty interesting. I highly doubt it will be capable of playing a lot of newer games on high settings, but I look forward to seeing exactly what its capable of.

But the problem with that is it IS a misconception. Building your own PC isn't all that difficult at all. The problem is that people just don't take the time to learn. I've probably built 30 or more systems for people over the last 5 years, and every time I do I offer to have them watch while I put it together so they have an understanding of what is going on. Of the ones who have taken me up on the offer, all but one have taken it upon themselves to upgrade their machines or ...

Maybe I just seem to read more comments on articles that attack PC gaming, but it always seems to me that there are far more people who attack PC gaming than there are who stick up for it.

But to me gaming is gaming, and it's something we should all be a part of together.

Hate to break it to you, but there was a time, not so long ago, when PC gaming was WAY more popular than console gaming. And thanks to services like Steam, which allows us to purchase, download, manage, and launch our games all from a single interface, in some ways PC gaming is more streamlined than consoles.

I've got crossgame chat if I desire to use it in the form of Ventrillo and Team Speak. I have whatever instant messaging service I desire to go with (not to mentio...

It would be nice if everyone thought that way. Unfortunately for every console owner who doesn't own a gaming PC but looks at PC gaming on the same level as console gaming there are 5 others who claim PC gaming is shit.

Personally, I love both, but I like first person shooters, and I hate using a controller when I play a FPS. My biggest gripe with console gaming is the more games that come out for consoles that either don't release on the PC or get crappy ports, the...

Yeah, to hell with porting this over to the 360, just get the Black Mesa remake finished for the PC already!

That's why we have this wonderful little thing called preloading. Buy it through a program like Steam, let it preload 1 to 2 weeks before release, and then decrypt the files on release day and play.

Meh, give it a month and someone will mod it into the game. Besides, there's plenty of other stuff here to make me completely forget about the inability to craft our own spells.
