@shodan74
So instead of the author being a hypocrite, he's actually just a chronic crybaby?
I for one am disgusted by complete lack of sense this article makes. "Boo hoo, I don't like rented servers because I can't find a decent one." So you're going to honestly tell me that an official server isn't full of fucking morons?
I will grant you that I have only seen the console server browser in a youtube vide...
@ZidaneNL
There is absolutely nothing different on the manufacturing side of CPUs for consoles that makes them any more cost efficient than CPUs for PCs. If anything, the manufacturing for a console CPU is less efficient (note: I did not say more expensive, there is a difference) thanks to the fact that they don't have a mass market to ship to outside of the console manufacturer. All that "custom made" means is that they don't follow any current manufact...
Those were my thoughts exactly. The only games I own on Origin are Sims 3, which was purchased through the EA Store well before they turned it into Origin, Battlefield 3, which I would have preferred to get through Steam, and The Old Republic, which after downloading has never forced me to touch Origin.
Look at it again and keep an eye on the minimap. The chopper was spotted, so he could see where it was going. As long as you know how to judge positioning from the minimap it's easy to see where it will be when it comes into view.
According to his stats he's used them a few times, but only got one kill. As frosty said, the flares make Stingers almost useless unless there are several people firing one after another.
Go look at his stats on Battlelog and then say you could do this. Considering his accuracy with both the SMAW and RPG-7 is above 55%, and he's pulling off shots like this, I'd say he deserves some props.
@Krisq
That only works with the Javelin. The RPG-7 and the SMAW do not lock on to anything. Considering this guy has over 800 combined RPG-7 and SMAW kills I'm going to say this guy is pretty legit.
And Sony is counting on your apathy. So what happens the next time Sony gets hacked, only to find out that the hack was possible because Sony failed to upgrade their network security, and all of your financial information is stolen and somebody steals your identity and tanks your credit? Sony says that because you agreed to their outlandish terms of service you can't join other people and sue them. Sure, you can spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to fight their legal team and sue t...
What exactly gives you the impression that they are joking? If it were a joke they wouldn't have made it a real TOS. They also wouldn't have buried the clause deep within the TOS. This isn't a joke. Sony doesn't want you to be able to sue them in a class action lawsuit because class action lawsuits actually work, while individual lawsuits, which Sony can't disallow, cost the person suing a lot of money, meaning most people wouldn't even bother.

I wouldn't mind seeing Forza go multiplatform, but really that's just because Microsoft won't add functionality for my Logitech racing wheel on the 360 and I don't feel like dropping another $200 to get something that works on the 360.
Meh, I'm perfectly fine with Skyrim winning GOTY. Granted, it doesn't really matter, since it all comes down to everyone's individual opinions anyways, but for me Skyrim was the best game I've played this year. With the exception of dragons obviously being terrified of me, as well as the bookcase thing after the 1.2 patch, I haven't had any real issues with the game.
Aside from Skyrim I'd have to say Battlefield 3 has been my most enjoyed game. Batm...
Not to nitpick over a single point, but it isn't really fair to say anything negative about Tomb Raider just yet. To be honest, the games haven't seen a lot of improvement over the years, but the reboot actually looks to be heading in the right direction. Who's to say the reboot won't blow Uncharted out of the water?
Granted, it could very well suck ass, so there is that.
I'm really tired of the whole "It's exclusive to Console A because it's not on Console B (even though it was also on PC)" bullshit. Console fanboys go on and on about the supposed "elitist" attitude of PC gamers, yet shit like this is commonplace.
If it's on the 360 and the PC, it's not a 360 exclusive. The entire Elder Scrolls series, as well as plenty of other major franchises, wouldn't exist if it weren't for the PC. I d...
@Theo1130
And I'm not denying that fact. I appreciate the fact that Valve has remained an independent developer and are able to produce awesome games on their schedule. But I still stand by my opinion that we should have had something by now. You talk about annualization, meaning a game a year, which I think is fair to say nobody is demanding.
Half-Life 2 was released in '04. It was a full length game with an ending that felt like an ending. Epis...
I don't think it has anything to do with wanting them to do Half-Life annually. It's more like we're all left hanging with the end of Episode 2 and we want to know what happens next. The whole reason Valve did episodic content was so they could do quicker releases. Obviously that didn't work out, so instead of getting the three episodes that Valve set out to do, we got two and an incomplete story.
You act as if all they've done recently is Half-Life and...
The only character that will most likely return is Lazlow. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the characters from IV make an appearance, but I'd be shocked if anyone from the GTA III trilogy returned.
Aw, you fixed it before I could.
@DeathAvengers
I have to admit, on one hand I'm a little disappointed in myself for clicking the link and ruining the surprise. But on the other hand, THAT'S F'ING AWESOME!
Except that there was never an official statement saying that they would "never add Pandarans or make them playable" so they aren't doing things they said they wouldn't. The only reason the Pandarans weren't used as a playable race before was because of the split it would cause in the player base by making them either Horde or Alliance. With the exception of a very vocal few, Pandarans are actually one of the most popular races amongst fans of Warcraft lore. With Bliz...
Given how successful Steam is, I'd imagine Valve has plenty of dough. Plus if they're doing this with hardware partners, I'd imagine they would be sharing the cost with a lot of different companies. Nvidia and Intel would stand to benefit greatly from a consolized PC since it would help push part sales and garner more interest in PC gaming.
