I found it is easiest to just copy and paste the actual URL for the site (not going through the translation page) and just scroll through the pics that way. You can't read the descriptions if you don't speak German, but at least you can scroll through them that way.
But you get a goddamn dragon statue with your CE. Yeah, the art book is cool and all, but the whole reason I shelled out the extra $100 is because that statue will look awesome on the shelf in my computer room.

The 6570 is a value card, and isn't packed with a lot of VRAM, which is going to hurt your performance. You will probably be able to run it on medium settings, which will still look better than the PS3 or 360, but not by much. My advice would be to save up some money and get a video card with more video memory. A 2GB card is almost a must now days if you want to max everything out. For around $250 you can get a 6950 with 2GB of video RAM which will let you run the game on high setting...
I actually have to disagree here. I'm not a fan of FPSes on consoles, so Halo as a game just never appealed to me. I played the first one on the PC, and thought it was pretty enjoyable, though. But I think the story for Halo is one that would work well on film. The right kind of director, especially Blomkamp, could work wonders on a title like Halo. If it focused on someone other than Master Chief, like ODST did, you could have the perfect mixture of sci-fi and a great war movie like...
Now that everyone is getting away with content installation on the 360, there isn't a need for keeping it on the PS3 and PC. Otherwise I'd totally say yes, seeing how the DVD9 format is seriously outdated and is restricting too many games that go multi-platform.

Yeah, the release is 12:00 AM PST. If you activate it using a proxy you'll still be able to play on US servers. Both of my clan's servers are full already.
Origin unlocks based on timezone. If you ordered a digital version you could be playing right now as well. Just find a site that has proxy server listings, plug in the proxy server on your computer (a quick google search will show you how to do it) and activate the game through Origin.
Only reason I'm not playing right now is because I had to go back to work for a few hours, otherwise I'd be shooting people instead of sitting at a desk taking phone calls.
And this is why you get the digital version.
I preordered through Gamestop, but got the digital version. When they activated their preload through Impulse, instead of installing it there, I just took the key and entered it into Origin and downloaded the game there. My copy didn't unlock today, but I was still able to use a proxy out of Thailand and activate it.
I'm surprised nobody has commented on the fact that this is obviously more than just an HD texture pack. There's clearly a difference in the gun models as well, so there will be higher quality models installed as well as higher resolution textures.
Still, it would be nice to see a screenshot of the PC at ultra settings to see a better representation of the difference between the two.
Maybe it's just me, but I always look at the confirmation screen before I finalize any online purchase. It takes 5-10 seconds to look over all of the details before confirming the purchase and submitting your payment. I make my share of mistakes when purchasing stuff. What I do not do is fail to catch my mistakes before I finalize my purchase. That's why confirmation screens exist.
Again I'm going to have to say that since you do not work for Valve you have no right saying that changing a game from owned to gift is a simple process. If it isn't set up in their system to allow that, it isn't a simple issue.
What would have been easier would be to actually pay attention to what you're doing when purchasing something instead of throwing a fit when someone can't fix your mistake.
Not sure who your comment is to, but I'm just going to go ahead and say that anyone who plays on a PC can more than afford a console. My PC upgrades for this year alone cost more than my 360 or PS3.
Then again, I don't limit myself to one platform. I have my PC for shooters (prefer the accuracy of a mouse when it comes to aiming) and for other graphically intense games. My consoles are primarily for 3rd person action/adventure stuff like Assassin's Creed, Unc...
Damn old age. My average is about 202. Fastest I ever got was 180, but then on the very next one I got 252. I'll have to try again in the afternoon when it isn't freezing in my house.
On a side note, they need to make the box larger, and then make the area that you click smaller and appear at random points. Clicking speed is not as important as your ability to recognize and mouse over your target.
"Can use" is the optimal phrase here. Doesn't mean you can't get by with a card that has less than 1GB of VRAM. You just aren't going to get all of the uber pretty graphics. Still, even a medium range PC should run the game reasonably well.
I hate to tell you this, but if you're expecting consoles to ever truly perform as well as a PC, you're going to be waiting for a while. Until a console manufacturer actually bothers to load their machine with enough hardware to actually carry the console beyond the performance capabilities of a high end PC, it'll never happen. And the chances of that happening are slim, seeing how it would negate one of the biggest advantages that consoles have over PCs: the price.
Yeah, I'd really like to see 2143 as a full game. Still, if I had to settle for it being an expansion I'd do it. Despite all of the glitches (being on a Titan while it was being moved was a huge pain in the ass) I think the game would be awesome on Frostbite 2. That and I miss my mech...
