Wow, if killing people in games is a sin, they're gonna have to invent a place 100 billion times worse than hell to put me in. I'm pretty sure I've committed genocide more times than people have made Gaben fat jokes.
This is proof that Volition are batshit insane. Who the hell would buy this? $1 mil for this?
Seriously, just come on. Just lol...
I don't know why people are raving against this. You could do it with the PSP (a 480x272 native res system) and games looked just fine on it. I played my PS2 all the time on my various HDTV's with component cables and those games' native resolutions were most of the time well below 640x480.
Not that big of a deal, people.
Same here. I got SR3 on release night, played it for two months and stopped playing it in January 2012. Then I literally didn't even boot it up again until around March or April of this year...Played it for a couple days, got bored, haven't touched it since.
SR2, I kept playing it on and off since I got it in late 2008.
Well, they could just return back to the ways of SR1 & 2. But of course, they'll figure out some way to make the game even dumber than it is now.
The dual-sun technology(TM) was my favorite part of the reveal. The immense realism in having two suns -- one from twelve o'clock position and another from 9 o'clock, blew my mind.
Day one buy.
I busrt out with laughter after reading the title of this article.
I agree with you, but the Radeon HD 8000 series is OEM-only, the actual new AMD cards coming in a few months is the HD 9000 series. Around the time they launch, the current 7000 series will most likely also see price-drops.
But yeah, if the dude can't wait, by no means is the 770 a bad card.
While building a gaming PC isn't ever a bad idea, I would never recommend a high-end enthusiast GPU like the HD 7990 or GTX 680/690/780 to anyone. Only enthusiasts who play with multi-monitor setups would need something like that.
People are just fine with the normal mid/high-end cards. You can buy an HD 7850 and play every modern PC game at 1080p with no issues. No point in spending a ton for a premium product when you won't even be using the power... It's like ...
Don't forget:
Half-Life: Blue Shift
Half-Life: Opposing Force
Half-Life: Decay
(Although these were all done by Gearbox instead of Valve...)
There was also Counter-Strike: Condition Zero.
L4D3 will definitely contain some secret easter eggs or references to Half-Life 3. I think the reason HL3/Ep3 was delayed so long is because they wanted to save it for the Source 2 engine.
To be honest, I'm more interested in Source 2 than I am in Half-Life...
Well, Portal 2 released on PS3, and most recently PS3 also got Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. I think it's safe to say that with Gabe having changed his mind on hating on Sony, we'll see L4D3 on PS3 (and maybe PS4).
Kaveri won't be in any of the consoles. Kabini is not inside of the PS4. Both of these new consoles have Jaguar cores. You're a terrible troll.
UT99, Quake 3, Counter-Strike, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, etc. Those classic FPS's are the best.

The buildings getting toppled are still most likely gonna be scripted in the same way the BC2 destruction was. Basically every building had different support beams and pillars when, when damaged enough, would cause the whole building to collapse. It was always the same pre-baked animation every time, so the actual physics calculations weren't insane or anything.
There's nothing wrong with this approach, as it takes a huge load off people's CPU's so that more ...
Your question was answered by both me and yourself. We haven't seen Doom 4 because of internal strife and it being re-booted several times.
You *should* care about the internal troubles because that's the main reason why idS hasn't been outputting many games in the last decade.
In a recent interview, they said they aren't gonna do any new IP's anytime soon because they wanna focus on getting Doom 4 released. The new Wolfenstein is coming...
Besides that list which that guy just posted which pwned you, id Tech 5 isn't available for external licensing. Besides id Software themselves, only internal Zenimax studios will be able to do things with it until years from now when the engine is released as open source, like the engines before it.
Doom 4 has been scrapped and sent back to the drawing board numerous times because the devs and some publishers all kept fighting over things and it was generally agreed that the quality of the game wasn't up to a level that they liked. The game is still being developed, they will just show more of it when they get ready.
As for Quakecon, it's a convention that happens once a year for just a few days at that... It's not like it's really cutting into the games...
"Holes Eater"?
. . .
Really? Yeah, that doesn't make me think of a much dirtier "game" than kissing or anything...
*cue MGS3 theme-style music*
HOLES EATTTEERRRRRR!
