Agreed mostly, but CoD isn't tactical at all, haha.
MW3 is the worst CoD ever made. My friends and I were talking about that yesterday -- one of our friends is a hardcore CoD nut, and even he said MW3 was a POS. Dunno what they were thinking with that game, lol.
30 months for free? Haha that would be the best campaign ever. Mother of God XD.
Looking forward to this. Rocksmith had so many uses... You didn't even have to play the game if you didn't want to, you could just go into the amp mode and just start jamming. The amp modeling was surprisingly good.
It's always a shame how people can be in the tech community, and still not know WTF they're talking about, but proceed to try to throw their 2 cents in anyway. *sigh*
Well what he said is true, the average PC is the stuff you'll find from OEM's like Dell and HP, not super-impressive but sometimes still capable depending on the "model". On Steam's hardware survey, most people are using Intel HD 3000 and Intel HD 4000 -- in other words, integrated graphics. Most people are casuals who play light stuff.
The people who you see with Intel 3960x's and quad-SLI rigs make up a very very small niche market. Most "ser...
LOL! Was gonna say the same thing, +bubs.
I can confirm that this is one crazy-ass thread. O_O
I agree with most of what you said, but a lot of people will end up "disappointed" with HL3 no matter what because of the long amount of elapsed time since the last game, as well as the collective hype-train that has only grown since then.
Realistically we wouldn't see or hear much on HL3 until Valve talks about their successor to the Source engine (which apparently everyone has forgotten about.)
What new gameplay elements? What have they added since CoD4 besides new killstreaks (i.e. the same killstreaks, just re-named and given new looks) and new perks? They haven't revolutionized FPS at all. It's the same game, and they don't even bother to fix the main issues at all (terrible netcode, spotty hit-detection, dumb match-making, etc.)
Stuff like that is why the devs keep getting bashed.
This is just their way of saying "lol we know we're lazy as hell and won't impress anyone, so plz look forward to our gamez 8 years 4rom nao kk thx bai"
More than just price, the APU concept as a whole was a huge reason, and Mark Cerny himself said this before. The fact that the CPU and GPU are on the same die, and both fully share the memory instantly without having to copy it back and forth between the CPU and GPU logic is a pretty big deal for computing in general. We will see greater gains from HSA than we would small incremental upgrades in CPU horsepower over the years in the future.
Not only do these APU's take up...
When it comes to the market share, it's because the average user has no idea about any differences between AMD and Intel. There were various cases of Intel bribing various OEM system vendors (like Dell) and consumer stores into not putting AMD chips into their products, and not selling AMD products in their stores. Google it, lol.
Nowadays, a lot of manufacturers are afraid to put AMD chips into their stuff out of fear that the average joe won't buy it because they s...
Conan is the man. One of the few guys who has his own show and is legitimately funny.
None of this health-regen, sit in a corner while sucking on your thumb nonsense. Nice.
Some of the biggest trolls in current-day game development.

Stay classy, nervous insecure PC elitists.
Damn @ that list of games. The PS4 launch will have the best launch lineup in the PlayStation family's history. The first three PlayStation's had lukewarm/mediocre lineups, but still went on to be very successful systems. PS4 won't have that problem out of the gate, which is great.
edit for clarity: I know those games are what's announced, not necessarily launch titles, just saying lol.
I have an extra DualShock 3 that I use specifically for my PC, for emulation and PC gaming. In a lot of games, keyboard/mouse controls are just too damn awkward. I'd never play a racing game with a keyboard, for example. Controller all the way.
Most people already knew this. It's just one of those reasons I kept buying Sony consoles ever since PS1. They were still supporting PSone until around 2003 with new games, and then much later on they stopped producing new units. PS2 was still supported and selling like hotcakes years after the PS3 came out.
I remember how Microsoft completely dropped support for Xbox pretty much right before the 360 came out, and Nintendo abandoned the Gamecube when the Wii was getting ...
