If they are finally making quick-scoping something that isn't overpowered, then hats off to them. But remember: after all the 12-year old MLG-wannabe kids start their backlash, the devs could patch it back in at any moment.
What those little kids don't realize is that what they're doing is piss-easy, because the only reason they can even quick-scope is because of the ridiculously-generous aim-assist that is built into the game. Without that, and the stupid quickne...
Western Logic:
Blood, gore, death 24/7 = No problem, bring the kids!
Natural nudity, showing skin, sex = FORBIDDEN, WORST THING EVER BAN IT NOW
I agree that society today is too politically correct and the fear of open sexuality/natural nudity while simultaneously embracing gratuitous extreme violence is ridiculous.
However, my beef isn't so much with her body or anything, just the fact that her attire is pretty retarded considering she's a covert sniper. I mean, maybe there will be a plot explanation for it, but I'm not really too miffed about it because she probably won't have a crazy deal of scree...
LOL!
This article... Just... *sigh*
That's still terrible logic. It's an arbitrary statement that only holds meaning to you, but whatever, no big deal. ;)
Even if he said that or implied it, people can change their minds. Here, he clearly is only interested in making fun games.
Implying that being homosexual (something determined at birth, i.e. something you can't control) is a bad thing.
Lol, stay classy.
Well, it's pretty easy to play PC games on a couch. A lot of people build their own gaming PC's specifically purposed to be hooked up via HDMI to their HDTV's. Just every every modern PC game had full gamepad support, and it's easy to do manual legacy gamepad support as well for titles that have issues with modern gamepads or didn't have gamepad support in the first place.
There also exist wireless keyboards and mice (not exactly a recent phenomenon, lol....
Well, it's pretty much a novelty game that in itself is a parody of the fighting game genre. The game itself was initially created by various competitive fighting game players, or at least people who are a part of that scene.
I didn't know this game even existed until a friend of mine sent me a video of this game being played a huge tournament. The game was funny to watch, and I'd probably play it with friends just for the laughs, but it's definitely a novelt...
The new Mirror's Edge looks sick (not talking about this video here, but it's still cool anyways). Will definitely be snatching up a copy whenever it releases.
You mean the cable itself? You shouldn't pay more than $5 for one, the same goes for current cables. Since it's a digital signal (just 0's and 1's), either the data gets transmitted or it doesn't. That's why the only real difference between different HDMI cables are how long they are.
You will see various companies talking up their BS about how their platinum-plated connectors provided more stability or something, but it's all rubbish. Don't b...
@Killerclam
Well, they did release Battlefield 1943 a few years ago. They also did Battlefield: Vietnam after BF1942, and they did an homage to that game with the release of Battlefield Vietnam expansion for Bad Company 2 a few years back.
What we really need is a Battlefield 2143!
I remember the old days when Kotaku was a good site. Don't know what happened besides several of the old-school staff leaving the site in droves, but the site became more and more crap as time went on. It used to be my main source of gaming and geek-related news, now I don't even go there anymore. What a pity.
Awesome news. I already use one of my DualShock 3's on my PC for emulation and PC games with the use of special drivers to emulate a 360 pad for maximum compatibility.
I'll definitely be picking up a DualShock 4 for this same purpose later on.
The PS4 does support 4K, but only for video (most likely movies, since the framerate is limited to 24fps for 4K) since HDMI 1.4 can't handle more than 4K/24fps.
Even without the HDMI bandwidth restrictions, there's also the pure lack of GPU power and memory bandwidth to support playable framerates at 4K res. Even if the PS4 did support HDMI 2.0, the only 4K gaming you could do with the current specs would perhaps be PS2 games, and 2D indie titles and such.
Prices will drop, GPU's will get stronger, but 4K still won't be the "standard". 1080p has existed for ages, yet it's still pretty much the standard for PC's and is just now becoming the standard for consoles, and even then on the consoles we will still see a lot of sub-1080p games.
I agree with you, really. People here on N4G are usually over-the-top fanboys (whether it be of a console or a person), and will usually enter fanatic mode any time someone voices an unpopular opinion. The comments system is pretty silly with the whole "agree/disagree" thing.
I'm not sure where Kojima got the cosplay thing from, because some cosplayers will over-sexify any character from any medium, especially the ones who have the curvier bodies and know that t...
Liquid apparently had a disease besides (SPOILERS: FOXDIE) that made him deathly allergic to shirts. He's in freezing Alaska without a shirt and it doesn't bother him at all, lol.
Didn't Ocelot do it too at one point or another? Same with Vulcan Raven, no shirt at all.
I love how vague his wording was. Judging by that video, quick-scoping is still "viable" indeed.
Forget them, not wasting $60 on this crap, lol.
