They are using the vagueness of their policy to justify the charge. Before this, it would have been preposterous to assume that they would have withheld $20 from the refund based on the language in their pre-order refund policy.
They would probably win, actually. The whole thing stinks of fraud. The problem is that no one is going to sue over $20, which is why BB feels so comfortable pulling this crap.
The point is that its a pre-order. No one has received their purchase yet. If info comes out that makes people second guess their decision to buy then they should get a refund. As far as BB goes, they're making $20 off of nothing, here. The beta is free and 3 days early access is not worth 33% of of the cost of the game. Had they advertised that this was their policy, I would be less sympathetic towards those who were caught up in this scam but then there would still be the issue that BB ...
Blood Omen & Soul Reaver.

Since when do we punish everyone just to make sure all of the guilty are punished. Thats why Ben Franklin said "That it is better 100 guilty Persons should escape than that one innocent Person should suffer". I realize that this isn't the criminal justice system that we're talking about, but the same principal holds true.
I think they need to release a playstation legacy machine that plays all ps1, ps2, and ps3 games. Kind of like the original ps3 fat model, with the upscaling and smoothing options, but one that doesn't run so hot, like the fat.
I got that game, along with the original, sitting in my cart on ps3. Saw a Digital Foundry video on it and decided that I had to play it.
This generation is soft. When I was a kid I used to get chased home everyday by a guy swinging a bike chain at me, and my parents were like "gotta fight your own battles". Nowadays, parents call the cops over someone saying mean things to their kids on the interwebs.
How about a new Aragami game that is more about stealth sand boxes with a serious sense of emergence, like MGSV: Ground Zeroes, and less linear mission design.
WT's controls are difficult to tune for the same reason Project Cars controls are difficult to tune. Too many variables. And just like PC, none of the presets that Ive found online really work for me.
I want to get into this game so bad cause I loved IL-2 Sturmovik on ps3, especially the online aspect, but the controls are so hard to tune.
Thats the worst offense here.
A game being engaging in a skill based gameplay sort of way is reason enough to keep playing. A trophy like this has nothing really to do with skill and its completely outside of the natural gameplay lane, skill based or otherwise, for anyone who doesn't main as Catwoman. Its a bad trophy requirement, plain and simple.
This is why I don't sweat trophies. They'd be fun little diversions if some of them weren't so damn ridiculous to get.
Deadly Premonition at a solid 60 fps.
RE6 is still trash, even for an action game. Makes RE5 look like GOTY.
The only multiplayer game Ive seen worth playing more than a few hours was IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey, on PS3. Nothing since has really lived up to that experience for me.
How can you bring the clone wars era to battlefront without those three, as well as Anakin, Mace Windu, and Jango Fett, at the very least. And thats coming from someone who hates the prequels.
As long as you don't get over confident after the fact. I had to learn to stop saying "I got this".
Its more like someone walking in the door and being charged for using the air conditioning. Fries in a value meal are like 40% of the purchase. 3 days early access to a free beta has no real discernible value.
