Wow, dude. Looks like indie games are starting to catch up to ps1 style games. Gaming might actually get good again. Either that, or its time to switch to PC.
@fr0sty
It suggests multiple possibilities but proves nothing.
I used to watch cartoons in the 80s and 90s that were more violent than this.
@ElementX
there was no super slim ps2. Just the original and slim models.
They need to make the bottom of the controllers the same as the tops, or make them transparent black. The two-tone solid/transparent thing kinda kills the effect.
First person is so overdone in horror games. The genre needs a different perspective every once in a while.
I highly doubt that DICE has any say about whether MTs are in the game or not.
This gen has been the driest, most homogenized gen so far. As of now I don't see the point of buying a PS5.
The only thing Really hurting GTS is lack of an SP career mode. Don't get me wrong, all that other stuff you mentioned is nice but it isn't necessary for a great racing game.
Now thats funny. That was my era too, and I still missed it.
Lets hope that is the plan. BTW, what album cover is that?
@Zeke68
You're the one making personal attacks (ie wearing your butthurt on your sleeve). I simply stated my opinion, as we are all entitled to do. But for some reason you can't handle that. You should probably ask yourself why that is.
"They have been clear on the "Sport", race against others /and pro drivers (hard to do offline) and so on from day one. So don't complain on GT Sport or Polyphony Digital if you misinterpreted their intent...
"The (E-)Sport part of it requires the always online because who wants to race for a real license if a few people would be able to tranfer their saves from the PS4 system to a PC and hack the crap out of the saves and gain levels /cars and so on and ruin the entire "fair race"-culture that Polyphony Digital is trying to build here."
I think the real question here is: Who wants to be forced to race for a real license, especially if all they want to do is ...
@rainslacker
You can't judge any game in a vacuum, much less the 7th game of a series. If a particular reviewer feels that what the game actually offers is more than adequate, thats one thing, but to suggest that all reviewers should ignore the lack of offline career mode just because the creators had no intention of offering it is ridiculous, and it would be intellectually dishonest of any reviewer to do so if they felt that leaving it out only hurt the game's quality.
The idea that any new Gran Turismo could ever be judged in a vacuum is just naive. What Polyphony says means nothing. The name 'Gran Turismo' speaks for itself, and to try to make it say something so different this late in the game, after 2 sub standard entries (5&6) is more than a little insulting to many of the fans, like myself, who stuck by them, waiting for a proper successor to GT4.
Its more like a spinoff. The beefed up test section is a welcome return to form, but the lack of offline career is a kick in the balls.
The game has licensed tracks. My point is that without an offline career mode, I don't see the point of bringing up weather and collision. I definitely agree with that last sentence, though.
If the game had an offline career mode I'd give it at least a 9, and I'll give it shit all day for not having one. But the problems you mentioned are petty, not to mention, erroneous where real tracks are concerned.
Squirm freaked me out when I was a kid.
Thats what I was thinking. I wonder what it would be like if PD actually made it.
