I don't think these guys understand the term 'believable'. Never heard of extremist christians taking over towns in midwest usa and forcing religious conversions, in recent history. Sounds more like what isis does in Iraq and Syria.
Seems kind of like the devs are trying to drum up false controversy to drive visibility and interest. I find the whole thing hilarious, to be honest. I wouldn't be shocked to find out that the whole petition thing was started by ...
The problem is that Sony and Ms, particularly Sony, have such a stranglehold on the modern industry. Merely a week after one of, if not THE, lamest E3s ever, and we are questioning the need for new blood in the market? And I totally disagree about a console needing to push AAA titles to be successful. The AAA model has severely limited risk taking and has stunted innovation within the industry, almost obliterating any presence of niche games, outside of handheld and indie games. If a console ...
"Thus we go back to dark souls not being fun because it's not pleasant, and not intended to be."
I'm sorry, I have to disagree. DS is a buzz, its enjoyment, therefor it is fun. Its difficulty is also a bit exaggerated. The game is completely fair. Maybe some people play it for status or some other strange reason and don't actually enjoy it. I'll give you that, but that would explain why they don't find it a pleasure. When you enjoy a games basi...
BWAHAHAHAHAHAH, indeed.
I wouldn't necessarily put them at odds in that sense. That said, I have seldom found political statements to be very classy.
I'm using the actual definition as well: Amusement, enjoyment. Not amusing in the humorous or lighthearted sense but in the sense of entertainment. Overcoming the challenge of a game like Dark Souls is indeed a pleasure and its definitely entertaining. The lead up to the 'overcoming' can be a different story, depending on the player,...
I think you're defining 'fun' far too narrowly. Fun is what you are having when you are being stimulated. FF10 and Dark Souls are very fun and the substance they have is one of, if not the main things that make them fun. I also feel CoD isn't much fun because it lacks substance in gameplay depth and single player level design. I agree that TLoU isn't much fun but I also feel that it isn't a very good game. It would have been a great movie, but as a game, I feel that th...
The relevant piece from the vid starts just after 57 min in.
Good catch on the edit.
"The streaming service they acquired for $380 million is an attempt to take ownership away from gamers and not a future I want."
Thank you.
I want to see the original visions for DS 2&3 before EA interfered with the development.
I want an Ico remake too.
You do realize that development studios owned by a publisher are like cooks in a kitchen. Now try to imagine that the managers of these restaurants have never eaten anything orally in their whole life cause they get all their food intravenously, and yet they treat that experience like its the culinary golden rule and act as if they know everything cause "they know everyone likes macaroni & cheese" so they make the cooks put macaroni on all the hamburgers and cheese in the banana...
If the space combat is well structured and fun, I'll bite.
2,000 words of hit or miss writing. Can't wait for that.
@nitus10
Whats your point?
Its like Ikari Warriors but much better graphics.
Sony is just butthurt that PSnow isn't doing as well as they wanted it to. The only data they have related to BC is PSnow, and all it has is ps3 games and a terrible value proposition.
i played more ps1&ps2 games than ps3 games on my ps3.
Gran Turismo 2 is f****** awesome.
@UltraNova
"Plus they take upon the risk inherent in trying to cater to all kinds of gamers no matter how niche a game is. "
Try telling me that after they announce a new Twisted Metal game. I might be more inclined to believe you.
