I can see what he means, the stark graphics added something to the bleak atmosphere of the game. However it's not a remaster it's a remake and the same gameplay with the same atmosphere wouldn't feel new or be a showcase for a new generation of consoles.
I believe they've put a filter in the game to make it look close to the original if that's what you want.

Bit overdramatic. I find it hard to believe that anyone who cares even a little bit about gaming would seriously rule themselves out of ever gaming again for the rest of their life if they couldn't use discs anymore.

Pretty satisfying after putting up with all the blather about teraflops to see that on a purely technical level the PS5 holds its own. May even be the more powerful console, we shall see.
Me and my wife have watched a few...videos on the PS4 but not very often because of how dire the browser is. Must admit it's a little disappointing there's no browser because I figured with WiFi 6, whatever tf that is and if I've even got that right, it'd work a lot better.
It's not my theory but the theory being mentioned here is that if you can reach as many customers as possible you should, and there were still plenty of PS3 owners in 2018.
Personally I think the new GoW will only be on PS5 because historically they push the machine to the limit.

If there's been two per platform that's most likely a coincidence and not something that's close to their hearts for no particular reason unless you've heard otherwise.
People saying why ignore an older platform with all the sales you can make on it, well if the 2018 game could have been released on PS3 and made them a fortune with relatively little extra effort I'm sure they would have done it.
God of War 2018 wasn't also on the PS3. PS4 only and it pushed the console to its limits.

Going to be some disappointed people here when it turns out the PS5 does in fact have the fastest SSD by some distance.
Quite fancy a Sully spin off with less acrobatics and a slowed down pace with more realistic gun fights and more puzzles. Could be pretty sweet.
Or, in my case subtitles OFF forever. And Y axis inverted while you're at it.
I always find with subtitles on I either read them too quick and spoil the acting or I can't tear my eyes away from them and miss what's going on.
