I don't feel that strongly about it but I know what you mean, I don't read articles like this so I can keep the original as intact as possible.
Maybe it's a similar thing, I never want to know who the actors are who do the voice work for animations. To this day I'm not sure who does who on South Park and I don't want to know. Finding out that Bart Simpson was voiced by a middle aged woman was a bit weird.
Hard to type through the tears, it does seem a bit odd having vampires and werewolves in a Resi game but I don't think it is really when you think about it.
They're no more a horror cliche than zombies and think about the variety of other monsters the series has had since the start (hunters, giant snakes etc), it's vast. Since 4 deviated from traditional zombies it's no longer been the focus of the series imo.

On paper the Baker family from 7 were too OTT to be scary as characters, but when it came to the actual gameplay I was scared of them alright.
Same here, this looks much the same but bigger and better. I bet it'll still have the same tension though despite being a bigger game.
Thought so, 7 was them dipping their toe in the water now they've jumped in.
That ass was one of the best things in the game. That's not to say the game wasn't great but the ass was just that good.

I think you and I both know that you've cherry picked some of the best PS titles to slate because of your MS bias, but we can pretend it's genuine if you like.
I think you're a troll. Looking at your comment history you clearly don't like PS and you've listed some of the objectively best games on the system as your least favourite. Learn from the professional (and yet unpaid) Xbox shills on here and be more subtle.
I'm not familiar with the site so may have made a mistake but it looks like it's currently on 71. Not too bad for a game of this type at launch.

Yeah I thought the same, bit too colourful and sugary for me but it looks like there's a lot of meat on the bones. You can get used to a graphical style can't you if the game draws you in.

Is there any particular reason why they get Bloodstained and the rest of the world doesn't?
I've only played Odyssey of theirs in recent years but I thought it was really good. Very good use of the source material and I wasn't bothered in the slightest by MTs, barely even noticed their existence. For a Star Wars game they should cut down on the grind and work on improving the story and set pieces but they're pretty much good to go imo.
Resi 2 remake was a better game than 7 overall but 7 was way scarier, largely thanks to the perspective. It gave it a really claustrophobic and intense atmosphere. Admittedly I prefer third person combat in Resi games.

It's not industrial, it's big no doubt but it's an artistic effort. If it was industrial it'd be a plain black cuboid not a curvy black and white design.
