It's not perfect but it's a masterpiece nonetheless. Considering the scope of the game and all the things it achieves it's allowed a few flaws.
If every dungeon was unique with a unique boss it'd have taken them another couple of years to make, got to draw the line somewhere.
Looks great, the voice acting was ok, the lip sync was bad, but these are minor points in the big picture.
"People are making fun of those who said for years that there was 'no need to buy an Xbox because the games were on PC'. Now the same applies to PS."
Well, no it doesn't. Seems like selected PS exclusives will be on PC, not all of them, and that's after a period of years. That waiting period is a key point.
Making out that there's no difference between games being available on Xbox and PC day one and some games eventually ma...
Elden Ring is a masterpiece. It's their biggest and best, but not their first. Can't wait to see what they do next now they've broken out from the old formula.
It looks well done but if it's not from the devs I'm not interested. The game is amazing and no modder could do it justice in terms of lore or gameplay.
I don't think there are any plans for DLC or a sequel so I'll have to wait and see what they do next.
Charon: "Rhhuuaaaauugghhhh…." ;
It's not neon? Obviously it's not literally an actual neon sign. Does it look like a neon sign? Very much so.
You're probably ok to skip the new game if that's your opinion of the original.
I thought it was great and I expect more of the same.
Fallen Order was brilliant. Even if it had nothing to do with Star Wars it'd still have been a great game but as it happens it had the best SW story and characters since the original films.
I can comfortably picture a future where Sony continues to do what has so far made them successful in gaming, but has also branched out into areas that will make them even more money. What a disaster hey. Sound the bells of doom.
It doesn't make me feel nostalgic for any particular game, maybe because I haven't played Zelda since the SNES, but it does give me the same feeling of having an entirely new experience that I had in my early days of gaming. Like how it felt playing FF7 for the first time.
@thesoftware730
Agreed, it's been too many years of being spoiled by autosaves and generally being able to save whenever you want for me to happily go back to the hard as nails unforgiving games from the past. I've done my time.
The idea of retro gaming is more appealing than the reality of it for me but this would help a lot.
It's probably because of how long it has taken in the oven. An announcement of an interesting game with a cool trailer will be received well but if it then disappears for years the hype is dead.
It does look great and I'm looking forward to it. Bioshock vibes in some ways.
@Profchaos
I think that's fair to say. Most of us know who the subtle and not so subtle console warriors/trolls are and they can be laughed at and avoided.
On the whole though it's less toxic than IGN for example.
I'd imagine that will be the case. The GaaS stuff is to plug a gap and make money but apart from that they'll continue in the same way they always have. They'd be daft not to and they don't appear to be.
Looking forward to seeing what their heavy hitters can do when they drop the PS4 and develop exclusively for PS5.
Someone seems rattled lately.
Obviously with no gameplay to go off it's too early to get excited but the setting and atmosphere grabbed me straight away. Third person action/adventure/horror sounds promising.
They look too specific and unique to be fake, I'd imagine someone knocking up fakes would do a basic take on what they'd seen before not something original and creative like these pics. Who knows though.
They're saying that GP helps indies get noticed but I don't read it as them suggesting it's the reason didn't sell.
On that she actually says: "Leprice isn’t sure exactly why Furi connected more strongly on PlayStation than Xbox, though she theorized the platform’s “strong connection to Japanese games,” which also influenced the design of Furi, may have played a role. But the game also feels very French.
“We’re not sure!” she said. “...
It's a bit weird that they've changed Ellie's face so much. Was the original face not attractive enough, or too attractive or...
