Difficulty wise absolutely, I think if it was my first From though I'd find the earlier games claustrophobic and frustratingly hard. That's not a criticism of them because I love them but it would work better going from linear to open not the other way round.
Always with a Souls game my first playthrough is offline with no outside help, then I crack out the internet for NG+ and find out everything I missed which makes it fun.
With Elden Ring it'll just be the one playthrough and I'll google what I've missed in each individual area before moving on to the next.
Oops.
While browsing the wiki the other day I saw a few people saying the Erdtree Avatar is a reskinned Asylum Demon. They've got better memories than me I wouldn't have noticed.
@Mr Logic and ChubbyBlade
Excuse me for not being aware of the fps of the video, don't think it mentions anywhere what it is but apparently I should know.
It seems like it either makes a small improvement to fps or in some cases a pretty dramatic one which is all good. Can't say the video shows that but no doubt that's on me.
I could barely tell the difference even with the side by side comparison. Granted I've never been too bothered about framerates.
If it's an RPG then morally I'm a more heroic version of myself. I can't bring myself to inhabit an 'evil' character as fun as it probably is.
Sounds interesting. I enjoyed Call of the Sea, the atmosphere was great and the puzzles were hard but fair.
Nice to know you're approving articles without reading them first.
I liked pretty much everyone in this game, the writing and voice acting are stellar. Which boons are best depends on your build but after many failed attempts Demeter on attack got me through 32 heat, chosen to counter Asterius on +40% speed.
I think it feels different and I love the game despite being a little bit bored of the formula by the time DS3 came out.
I wouldn't have minded if they'd mixed up some of the more superficial elements for Elden Ring. Feels like it's got the same font, sound effects, weapon names. Same red phantoms and a multitude of other things. Could have changed some of that stuff to freshen it up.
"I am not getting any younger. We are reaching the point where it’s crazy to think [that we’re] literally going to be too old to work on Portal 3, so we should just do it"
He's 55 not 95, what am I missing here?
I'm not so sure. Gamepass is great value for money but I'm not not convinced they are making money from it or ever will do. If it was the only service on the market then yeah possibly they are right now but tv has shown us that's not how it works.
Despite COVID throwing an enormous spanner in the works people are still willing to spend money on tickets for new films. I expect the same will apply to buying new games.
Obviously this isn't it but I sometimes wonder how a semi serious racing sim would work in a Micro Machines setting. Could be fun.
That was the only one that made me feel anything. Beautifully composed too. A worthy winner.
Can't say I was trembling after watching that so I suppose there's a scarier trailer out there.
You're not as clever about it as you think you are. Same thing over and over again with you.
Shocked to see you attempting to put a negative spin on an undeniably positive Sony article.
Looks a bit like Sundered with more 'realistic' graphics. Hopefully it's got some of the same gameplay quality.
"But to insinuate your game didn't do well because it wasn't on a service that didn't exist at the time? That makes no sense."
Can you quote the part where the devs did that because I didn't see it.
