You'd think a cast iron rule should be that VR or anything similar always costs less than the price of the console.
I doubt they're struggling for bookings and need the publicity, protecting the reputation of the brand is more important in this case I'd imagine.
Stylish. I remember a tv show with a similar concept, didn't last long but it was an interesting idea.
Probably getting shut down soon hence the negative comments, it's a free hit. If it was important to MS you wouldn't be seeing that.
That's a bold claim. I'd say the first Resi game was more likely the most influential and what followed were tweaks to the formula, different camera etc. Interesting debate though.
I wonder though how much Resi 1 was influenced by Alone in the Dark which came out a few years before it.
Tree Sentinel set with no helmet for me.
It's like listening to a politician, they'll say whatever they think people want to hear but it's sensible to not believe a word of it.
Given that the deal hasn't gone through and may not it's even more likely to be bullshit.
Turns out quite a few devs are pig ignorant.
Whoah Orchard your Microsoft is out and we can all see it.
This was a fun read. It always seemed inevitable to me that prices would go up seeing as they've already tried it with Gold and they're spending vast sums.
It wasn't the difficulty for me it was the lack of atmosphere and the loot system. I always struggle to like games where you drown in a mountain of generic loot and none of it feels special. TW3 was similar in that sense.
It's on PC and it's only a timed exclusive, there's no big deal. Not even a small deal.
I suppose it depends on if it was a creative choice or a technological necessity. Creative choices in a remake should be respected and left intact as much as possible but something like fixed cameras with tank controls can remain in the past for me.
Thoughts and prayers with Orchard at this difficult time.
Do you have a link to that top ten list?
Classic Orchard.
I've never actually played a SH game so I don't know but I always thought Resi games are more focused on gun combat and SH is more about atmosphere. I reckon action horror in general is way more popular than the subtler alternative.
Looks crap. A cross between Criterion and NFS should be a marriage made in heaven and not this awkward looking thing. Shame.
I was interested to see his answer but apparently he's got nothing. PR fail.
I'd love to be able to explore the Overlook hotel from The Shining in a horror game but what kind of game that would be I have no idea.
I think that's the most complimentary review for a game I've ever read. Sounds amazing.
