Warframe's pretty much my only point of comparison and while it is all about the grind there's nothing, at least when I last played it, that would take you a month of grinding to acquire never mind five years. That's not good.
It doesn't feel like they've learned enough from the disaster that was BF, they seem to think it's a case of tweaking the formula but they made a game that nobody bought and nobody wanted to play. They seem lost.
I'm a big fan of the settings they use for their games, but I would like them to have a crack at something different. Elden Ring felt new because of the open world but there was a lot that was lifted directly from Souls.
Could be cool if they made a sci fi in their own style.
They are. So many games would just say here's a fire giant, isn't it cool. From have complex back stories for everything.
I know my daughter will love this, it's exactly her sort of thing. If I have to pay for it then so be it, that's usually how it works.
Pretty sure that was Kimiko in there, or Karen Fukuhara to be more accurate.
Don't like the idea of the whole game having grey monotone backgrounds, it's boring. Game looks decent.
"Notice how I said "weak month FOR ME"
Yeah you're always careful to phrase your little attacks like that, it's nothing new.
I think you've realised that GWG is on the way out and so you openly criticise it as a way to try and add legitimacy to the relentless anti Sony stance you take.
Don't agree with this at all, a) it's a strong month and b) ps+ has been really good in the past months and doesn't at all suggest a service that's waiting to lie down and die, as much as we all know you want it to.
I'm struggling to get through the ps+ games I've currently got on the go because there's been so many good ones recently, but my little lad loves nothing more than his toy cars so I'll have to find a spot for Hot Wheels.
My personal wish is for the next game to star his daughter, I'd leave the main series as it is because it ended perfectly and have it as a spin off. It'd feel borderline disrespectful to continue the story after that ending.
The spin off would be really heavy on puzzles and exploration with a bit of light combat, and more challenging platforming that requires precision and timing.
That was a good watch funny and nostalgic at the same time. Bit of a nightmare game to get blokes who I'm guessing don't game much to play, those tank controls and fixed cameras can baffle anybody.
@Pete
So when their first VR came out Sony talked about growing the market gradually, because devs wouldn't want to invest huge amounts into something they don't know will succeed, that's normal.
Now we've got a brand spanking unit that they've invested a lot of time and money into, with a new Horizon game, one of their flagship series', and a VR version of the successful Resi 8.
Things are progressing in the r...
Indies will take a risk or indies will take the risk is a subtle distinction to a non native English speaker.
It's obvious given his other comments, and just a dash of common sense, that he's not saying that he expects indies to take all of the risks and carry the console.
It's a pretty ridiculous suggestion to say that he is, seems like you've got an agenda with the anti Jim Ryan waffle so that explains it.
I wouldn't read too much into specific phrases, fine nuances get lost in translation. If you read the whole thing he's clearly saying that indie devs are up for taking a chance on VR because it excites them and they want to develop for it, not that he expects them to do the heavy lifting.
Bit of a daft thing to say tbh Pete.
I think that's a strangely negative interpretation of what he said, he was just saying that it's an exciting time and opportunity for indie devs and that they'll be supported, not that the strategy is to sit back and hope that indies carry it.
Highly doubt they'd have bothered to develop a new state of the art VR system if they didn't have plans to release top games for it.
I don't have a lot to add to this but I'll say that whenever there's an option to do so I'll always have the camera close in.
Football games are a good example, yes if you zoom out to a birds eye view you can see everything unfolding like a general on a battlefield, and you'll be effective, but it's not fun to play that way in terms of enjoyable gameplay or immersion.
@LordoftheCritics
Grow up, nobody destroyed anybody and if they did it certainly wasn't you. No, I don't have an alt account never have for any forum I've been in. Thanks for the discussion.
I had thought (assumed for the most part because of the nature of the game) NMS had a good community but I've recently got back into the game and it seems the devs are getting a lot of hate because of the latest (free) update.
I think I understand what the community's problem is but if you turn on something that quickly and vociferously I don't know if you deserve any accolades.
