How many times does this need to be clarified. Family Sharing did not mean you could share your games with 8 different people at the same time. That would hurt the industry more then used games. This was just the same bs marketing as "the power of the cloud", until they clarified this.

The answer is quite simple. It was just bs marketing to get you to buy the console. The "power of the cloud" is physically impossible due to latency and bandwidth limitations. And even if it were possible, the cost would be passed down to consumers. People really need to quit being so ignorant!

This reminds me of when they said "Project Gotham Racing 3" had maxed out the Xbox 360 at launch; didn't quite turn out that way. It just marketing. And it's probably not something you really want to be saying when the console just came out.

It's not even worth buying an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 at this point. All these cross-generation games are pretty much identical.

Unless you can honestly convince yourselves it's worth spending hundreds of dollars for a couple exclusive games that don't push the hardware all that much farther.

You are joking, right?

This article speaks the truth. We should all be more focused on 60 frames per-second, and less on 1080p resolution. It should be understood that a higher frame rate is more important, and produces a smooth and clearer moving picture, and reduces judder substantially. And you can negate a lower resolution just by sitting further back from the television.

With so many Xbox One consoles in stock, and knowing the PlayStation 4 sold double the Xbox One in January, imagine if they were able to meet demand.

I just love how Microsoft choose to not make the hard drive replaceable so you need to spend $500 on a new console.

We had some fantastic competitive online multiplayer games last generation. They can indeed be severely addictive and fun, increase longevity and value, and reduce the likelihood of trade-in. But most of them (especially the most recent ones) came and went because of terrible netcode that also benefited those with crappy internet connections.

In other words, Sony is definitely missing out, but only if their games has fantastic netcode that doesn't benefit crappy internet....

It should now be labeled the "not so all-in-one entertainment system"; considering the Kinect was suppose to provide this functionality!

And where is the build in radio player?

Can one game change the widespread negative perceptions of the Xbox One? Nope; at least not with it's current line up of non-stop shooters! Not to mention all the sequels, HD remakes, etc. And all the other garbage such the microtransactions in it's pay-to-play exclusive titles, the console is overpriced and underpowered, etc.

ETC.

Enough with the sequels! Bring us New IP!

It's continues to amaze me just how aggressively Xbox fanboys try to defend their console. Did they even own an Xbox 360?

I definitely prefer everything about the reboot DmC over the original set of titles in the franchise. So I can't relate to those who don't. It just better not be a 'definitive edition' remake!

Can free-to-play die already!

"but at the same time here's the tricky part; we have to try and keep it not alienating to people who are used to playing first person shooters, and in particular, a certain kind of first person shooter [call of duty]"

So they admit to being just another call of duty?! Didn't tons of people quit playing that game because they feel it's now stale and boring, and/or they can't stand the lag compensation being progressively increased with each title? Ye...

They'll continue to ask for feedback, and only pretend to actually care or do anything about it! Call of Duty should have died a while ago; move on!

The industry trend of developing so many unoriginal sequels, prequels, HD remakes, and shooters. Microsoft really seems to be one of the leaders in the trend, sadly. And other things such as micro-transactions! :(

Second Son and Shadow Fall are more spin-offs. If you look at both of the competing platform's games that have been announced and well rumored, and take into consideration the past generation, you'd see a trend. Sony doesn't follow this disappointing trend to nearly the same degree.

Add one more to the ever increasing list of unoriginal sequels, prequels, HD remakes, and shooters being developed for the Xbox One! This really is ending up just like the last generation for the Xbox brand; undoubtedly bland. If Microsoft is serious about gaming and dueling with Sony and the PlayStation 4; they need to develop far more original IP, and spiritual successors.
