With the Xbox One designed and marketed as the all-in-one entertainment console, it simply wouldn't be appropriate to unbundle the Kinect. Microsoft seriously needs to eat a bit of the cost and drop the price of the console to $459.99. That would bring it down to the same price as buying a PlayStation 4 and it's Camera separately, and bring the Xbox One's value more in line with the PlayStation 4.
We need less sequels and more spiritual successors like this! And more new IP! PLEASE!
Parents need to quit buying these games! This business model was created simply to nickel and dime you, and doesn't have nearly the same value as the traditional pay-to-play model.
I really hope this is not the next trend to be milked dry. I never cared for open-world games, especially the new ones with such heavy social integration. You just can't get the best story, immersion, or graphics in the genre. It's these reasons many developers choose to not go that route. And when you throw in the social integration into a campaign experience, you won't be able to hear what little story there may be. It's also the one genre that always creates a feeling that ...
Call of Duty continues to heavily invest in marketing and the brand recognition has become enormous with time. Titanfall simply won't have these advantages to nearly the same extent. It has been quite surprising to see just how many people continue to buy Call of Duty despite prediction having been cranked up with each new release. I could go on about this forever but don't even want to bother with the topic anymore. Too many people are blind to the problem or don't want to listen...
“It sounds like what you want is a return to the days of Quake, with no prediction at all. The Wanted bullets are what happens in any game that uses prediction. Without it, you have to lead your targets based on your current ping, even when using a hitscan weapon. While it sucks to get killed “around a corner” IMHO it’s better than the alternative. Personally, guessing how far ahead of my target to fire based on current network conditions isn’t a skill I have any desire to reacquire and it de...
It's already been confirmed to be a timed exclusive for Microsoft platforms. So you can guarantee it's coming to PlayStation! Well, unless EA makes a deal with Microsoft to keep it exclusive, just like they did with the first titanfall game.
EA must be sleeping with Microsoft, and for cheap too!
It's never anything but horror with Xbox customer service! Just another reason to not buy anything Microsoft.
Now this game is Next Gen! All the Xbox kids should be jealous!
They're bringing yet another shooter to the Xbox One! And this one heavily caters to shotgun whores from Mexico with high pings! How can anyone support Microsoft at this point?
Dedicated Servers won't improve the connection quality of matches; just go play Gears of War Judgement or Call of Duty Black Ops 2 with a low ping connection and you'll be wasted by everyone from Mexico. Lag Compensation has destroyed online gaming! You don't need to worry about if the game uses Dedicated Servers or Listen Servers.
I bet they'll announce the removal of the parity clause for indie releases. It's bound to eventually happen, and after all, the console has been nicknamed the "Xbox One-Eighty"!
How many shooters are planned for the Xbox One now? Don't you kids ever get tired of them?
But it will have expensive DLC we took out of the retail game!
Now all the 12 years old's can play this re-skinned Scrapyard map with increased Lag Compensation! Yeah!
This is exactly how I feel about the current state of the gaming industry. And Microsoft is the largest contributor to this garbage. Sorry Microsoft fanboys! It's not Nintendo fanboyism if it's true! I really wish Sony and obviously Nintendo the best! Microsoft can just go away now.
That's interesting, considering every other developer has said the opposite, and the PS4's time-to-triangle is as quick as the original PlayStation. Maybe the statement is just being misinterpreted.
Just another reason not to buy an Xbox One, or anything Microsoft!
Both of these developers created a strong relationship with Microsoft years ago, so it's not surprising they'll have among the first ID@Xbox games to be released. Sadly, not every indie developer is treated equally and with respect at Microsoft. This is more about PR creating a good image.
