TV TV TV, Sports... and some [more] Call of Duty!
Really Microsoft? Can you get any worse?
Yep!
As quite the fan of tomb raider, it's very disappointing to learn they spent resources and such on this; seems to be more of a cash grab then anything. Next time, focus everything on the next title!
@christocolus
I am definitely not biased towards any console(s). But after owning multiple Xbox 360's since the day it was released. I would not own any Microsoft console again (at least not before buying each of the competitors first). I am done with all the bullshit from Microsoft, and their software, products, and services. They won't even admit that RROD affected 99% of launch consoles (and who knows how many following). Their controllers don't even a couple y...
So in other words; "it wasn't ready for the rushed launch of the Xbox One!"
What this means:
1. The Xbox One is not selling as expected, obviously.
2. You'll see even less variety in the exclusive games, assuming they were not developing yet another shooter.
3. It leads you more towards the idea that it will be the situation we experienced last generation, with all the exclusive games with variety all clumped towards the beginning of the console's lifespan, to then only get more shooters year after year.
"But the complex architecture and infinite power from the cloud will make things right!"
Are they serious?
Gears of War has only become worse over time (like most franchises); and caters so heavily towards high latency connections (from Mexico for instance) online it's ridiculous.
Bring on new IP's!
This is all intentional and it won't be fixed. It's all from what's commonly referred to as lag compensation; essentially you are seeing everything, other then your own actions, with a delay, or of the past. All while those with poor quality connections are not. This puts you at the severe disadvantage. They progressively dial it up with each new release (or sequel) to increasingly cater to worse internet connections. Most online shooters have been going this route as of recently ...
It can't be anything to do with parents finally realizing they're paying hundreds of dollars to unlock all the content already on the disk (versus $60 for other games) or the franchise has become stale from being milked dry. Nah, can't be any of those reasons!
I bet Microsoft started these rumors!
That is also likely just the frame rate they're currently running at; not the end result. Do remember, while Xbox One resolutions and frame rates have been getting worse since the console's reveal, it's been the opposite for the PlayStation 4.
It's quite hilarious these "gamers" trying to defend the Xbox One's inferior resolutions are likely the same group that were extremely adamant transitioning to High Definition made the difference this generation. And they should be even more concerned about the inferior frame rates on the console.
If you decide buy another Call of Duty title over Knack your crazy!
Zoo Tycoon looks terrible and nothing like the original, sadly. It will not be a sleeper hit. Plus, it's only going to be sold at Walmart, for just a couple months, otherwise it's only available to be downloaded. This is almost confirmation that it's not expected to do that well. You'd be insane to buy this inferior title and would only be supporting more bad games to come from an industry hell bent on profits these days.
It could be some attempt to indirectly paint the competition as the bad guy; for anyone that doesn't already know better.
Bell Canada is the worst company out there! Do not get any of their products or services. They have absolutely terrible customer service, nickel and dime their consumers, etc. You wouldn't believe some of my experiences with them!
Dedicated Servers are not the absolute solution to connectivity, etc. Go play some games that use them and you'll continue to experience the same bullshit and get your ass handed to you by lag compensation (assuming you don't have shitty internet).
You notice the recent amount of negative playstation 4 stories recently? I wouldn't be surprised if this is part Microsoft's damage control in action.
They've been increasingly catering the franchise towards casuals for years with the game balance and lag compensation, so this is not surprising to hear them say.
You can find an Xbox One around here with almost no problem, but that's definitely not the case with the PlayStation 4; not even a single one can be found on selves. So demand is obviously much larger, and my local game store manager confirmed this yesterday. But this was obviously going to be the case even before launch.
