I agree, didn't expect it to look that good.

I hope Sidhe make another Rugby League game using the assests they develop for this.

In this game you need to pick a moral side at the start and stick with it. I too found the constant presention of false choice somewhat frustrating. I chose good and there were times I wanted to do the bad option buy could not as this would essentially be a penalty. Perhaps they could have had us play through some situations at the start of the game that forced us to make moral choices. Depending on what we choose this sets us on our path for the rest of the play through?

Interesting to know.

Personally I didn't see what all the compliants were about.

I'll admit I didn't find the characters in XIII all that great.

Apart from that though this felt like a typical FF game, excellent graphics and sound, good story, tactical combat (I pretty much never used auto-attack) and no more linear than those I've played in the past.

I agree with you. Enjoying L.A. Noire a lot but I was expecting more of a Heavy Rain experience in regards to story. I think the main difference is that Heavy Rain is a crime thriller that really stirred your emotions, people that you cared about were in grave danger and if they died that was it, no replaying the mission to get it right. L.A. Noire is a great game with some novil mechanics, so far for me it is lacking in story however. I feel little connection to the protagonist which in retu...

Playing this now and I have the feeling that facial animations in other games will look bad from now on if this tech is not used. Problem is for games like Uncharted has already been stated, this tech captures the actor's actual face, Drake would not look the same.

SP for me, story is needed to keep my interest otherwise i just get bored. The only MP I occasionally play is Killzone, Assassin's Creed and Gran Turismo 5.

I only really buy AAA titles so I disagree with the article, I do feel I'm getting my money's worth.

Best article I've read in a long time.

Thanks for helping me clear this up, I will know import unworried and enjoy RC games as they're meant to be.

However your link is incorrect, there is no banned category.

"There are six classification categories for films (G, PG, M, MA 15+, R 18+, X 18+) and four classification categories for computer games (G, PG, M and MA 15+). The R 18+ and X 18+ categories do not apply to computer games in Australia. Films and computer games can also be classified...

Just to let you know refused classification is banned. Illegal to import, sell or advertise. I'd find you a link to the act but can't be bothered. I'm still importing though as chances are very slim that customs will bust you.

And we get the opposite in Australia, censortized version of GTAIV, no Mortal Kombat and We Dare gets a PG rating so children of any age can play it with recommended parental guidance.

You're probably right, just have to hope we're not unlucky and the game gets through customs as legally we can't import anything that has been refused classification.

I use metacritic for the user scores now, KZ3 8.6 & BS 7.9. I can't trust the critics as too many of them are just chasing hits rather than giving unbiased reviews.

I don't like microtransactions. How can writers produce a good story when they don't know how much content the player will get. I think it's bad for games and will not support it.

Just guessing but maybe means not DLC rather something "packaged" on a disk?

5474d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah, I didn't finish origins because the combat got boring but this sounds great. Going to have to get the first one again so I can finish it and carry over my save.

Exclusivity is about selling consoles, it's saying buy this console as you'll only get such and such exclusive here. Simple.

I hope physical doesn't go extinct, there's something about having that game/bluray/book on the shelf the dd can't satisfy for me. And how could you give these as gifts? Happy birthday I downloaded that game you wanted, sorry I couldn't wrap it.

In Australia that'd be $180-$200 a game! I wonder what the industry would do here as people are relectant to pay the $100 they charge now. I and most people I know import so we can pay US/UK prices (around $50-$60 AUS).
