I don't know why someone would want a game they love to radically change, it wouldn't be the same game. Arkham Asylum was awesome and Arkham City gave me more of the same experience with slight but noticeable improvements, loved it. I feel the same way if not stronger in this opinion regarding Assassin's Creed.

That is very good value!!

$200 in Australia for this addition I felt was a little too high. Many others didn't though as it sold out here pretty quick.

After playing Arkham City in 3D it's making it hard to play anything in 2D. If your planning on getting a new TV then spend a little extra for 3D gaming, awesome experience that is well worth it!

I won't be surprised if Sony learnt its lesson this gen and they have a strong launch line-up for the next.

I for one am nowhere near sick of yearly Assassin's Creed sequels. Brother was excellent and I'm expecting the same from Revealations. I think what makes AC yearly sequels work is that the story is compelling.

My opinion is similar to yours, only difference is that I really liked how the story concluded. It dragged for way too long but ended with a bang. Got me excited for the next game however it it's not vastly improved in the areas you pointed out I don't think I could let it pass again.

The article states that Australian officials found Sony had satisfactory security systems in place and were therefore not liable for prosecution. Paints Sony in a good light basically saying PSN members were victims of hackers and not Sony negligence. Read the article people.

Was the Witcher 2 this year? I think that might have a shot. It usually goes to a game that was a bit surprising.

Weird!

That is so cheap considering games cost $100 here!

Good trailer, my interest just increased considerably.

"There will always be a distinction between folks who play Farmville or Angry Birds to kill time during mundane parts of their daily life, and the folks that take time out their mundane life to play videogames daily. "

Very well said, bubbles for you.

Yes, buy games new whenever you can, wait for them to be on sale if you need to. Bottom line, support the developers who make the games you love.

This is looking good. My only concern is the coop aspect, will be very difficult to get the same three people together for the whole game.

Good well thought out article. I have to say all but one are potential problems for me. I'd like probably nothing more than new animations in the combat, don't fix what isn't broken. It will bother me if the combat hasn't changed at all though. I'm now most concerned about the story of the game, hopefully it's engaging as bordem is a game killer for me.

I'm very grateful Sony steered it's developers towards more mature titles. As a 30 year old gamer my interest during the PS2 era was declining. Now that I'm thinking about I didn't game much during that generation, I had no interest in Jak, Ratchet or Sly. PS3 has pulled me right back into this hobby, so much so I frequently get in strife off my misses for gaming too much ;).
