So not long, thanks for that.
For the rest of the world, when is thanksgiving?
Yeah I can't buy it at full retail either, only maybe when it hits the bargain bin for me. Then I be more likely to buy LBP2 anyway. Sorry Rayman, for from an era I personally am glad is over.
I see what you guys are saying and think that you're right. I guess I focus more an advancement of story rather than gameplay, if I liked the previous game's gameplay I don't feel the need for it to change. Sorry if I came off as aggressive, bad day.
Did you play Oblivion, UC2, B:AA, Demon's Souls or R2? There is just as much "new game" and "totally different GOTY experience" in Assassin's Creed Revelations as there is in any of those game's sequels. Here's how game sequels work, slight tweeks to gameplay plus a new story. You can buy sequels and expect a totally different experience, that wouldn't be a sequel it'd be a new game.
I've not been disappointed with any of their yearly releases yet so keep 'em coming Ubi.
3D gaming is awesome, I can't get enough of it. Only problem is when I go back and play a 2D game I really notice the loss of a dimension. The sense of height in UC3 and B:AC was wonderful, can't wait to check out AC:R.
Some of them don't seem to realise there exists a great big world outside of the US of A. Sad really.
I'm a big fan of this franchise and really like the yearly releases. Basically I want more of what I like. I've never felt like I was buying DLC rather than true sequels. Those who partake in this hobby/industry that crave new experiences should know to stay away from sequels. Games should not be given lower scores because they haven't reinvented themselves. Reducing a score because it's not personally "innovative" enough for the reviewer is too subjective, reviews s...
When I first read the title I thought NO WAY. After reading the article my opinion has changed, the author makes a good point. Replayability is not worthless but trying to score it in a review probably is.
Yes I agree, this particular reviewer did not enjoy the game and the score reflects his opinion. Problem is I've read other reviews which contrast this one, not I every aspect but still they didn't score it as low. All I'm saying is I feel the mean of hundreds of user's scores on metacritic will be more reliable guide to wether or not I purchase games.
I'm finding it Hard trust professional reviews theses days, I feel they can be unintentionally (mostly) biased. Going to trust my fellow gamers who've scored it 8.8 on Metacritic so far and still pick this up.
I see this as a lot of people feeling ripped off. Games are expensive, if you sell customers virtually the same product they've bought in the previous 2 years and call it something new you are asking for trouble. It's not too late for Activision in my opinion but they will definitely have to produce a significantly improved game with MW4, otherwise I envision this as the beggining of the end. Please don't spout sales numbers to me, yes MW3 sold a LOT of copies but now there are a ...
BF3 broke here too. Happens more often than not for big releases.
GameStop owns EB Games here too, just no name change.
Thanks guys, I'll definetly give this a go.
I don't play any online FPS games as I always get my ass kicked. I would like to but I just don't have the time to practise. Does this mean I should probably give MW3 a try?
Personally I'm happy they're sticking with a mature narrative. It's not surpriding either, GTA IV, RDR and LA:N were all serious games and tremendously well received by the public.
I like physical media, I like to hold something I've just bought in my hands. I still buy CDs, granted I rip it straight to iTunes and put it on my phone, but still I like to own the physical media.
When I'm playing an RPG if given the choice I always choose to be male. When put in different situations by these games I like pretend that's me there, what would I do. I have considered playing ME as a female but not in the same way, my plan there is to create a character rather than be myself, for some reason I want her to be a real bitch. I have no problem playing as a female lead, it's just not something I've ever done in an RPG.
