There is no weapon/armor durability in Skyrim (thankfully).

Don't really understand their list. Basically, 3 of the 5 are crafting jobs, which is something I doubt Bethesda intends people to exclusively specialize in. Why not round out the list with:

6. Beggar

Skills: None

Hang around shopkeepers, guards, monsters and dragons long enough and they may be willing to throw you a coin, or maybe a breath of fire. Don't expect an easy life, considering you are blessed with no ability but patience...

Honestly, I think there is PLENTY of room for FFvsXIII and this. Really, I wish there were more than one or two good JRPGs every year for consoles, as it would make for better competition and push developers even more.

How many really good JRPGs were released on consoles in 2011? Xenoblade Chronicles is the only unanimous one, at least that I can think of (amazing game, btw).

Wonder if it will have one of those achievements like in FFXI where you have to level every class to max level. Granted, it seems it will be a lot easier in TOR, it would still be insane. ;)

While I'm not big on achievements one way or the other, it's always nice to have extra features that in no way hinder the game.

While I don't agree, it's also hard for me to disagree, as I love Chrono Cross. There's almost nothing about the game I don't like, and I still think it has one of the best soundtracks ever (although Squaresofts whole SNES>PS1 JRPG soundtrack era was awesome). I would put it as my third favorite PS1 game, behind Xenogears and Final Fantasy Tactics. All Squaresoft. They were near unstoppable till the merger.

Have you ever played FFVI? It's my second favorite JRPG (and game) of all time (behind Xenogears), and I would see Kinect support as completely irrelevant and ...well, strange. Of all the games to get Kinect support, FFVI would be one of the more odd choices.

That being said, If they were to ever remake a FF game for an HD console, FFVI is the one I would love to see (without changing gameplay/story/etc.), more so than FFVII. I know it won't...

For any non-US GOTY award, I would add in Xenoblade Chronicles as a GOTY contender, if released in the region.

Woo, I can't wait for that. Monochrome Racing: GOTY Edition, now with color at no extra charge.

Duke Nukem: Critical Mass GOTY Edition. Duke is finally out of gum so he can start kicking ass with this new improved edition.

Completely agree on FFVI. In my opinion, it has the best soundtrack of any Final Fantasy game (Tactics a close 2nd), and considering how great some of them are, I think that makes it the greatest soundtrack possibly ever. (by the way, yes, I think the Terra theme song is the most memorable from FFVI, along with the Locke and Edgar/Figaro one...and...hell, they are all highly memorable, in my opinion)

It's a tough call, as there are so many good soundtracks. Often times...

It's so easy to claim a PC game looks better than a console game, as if it's a fact. However, that completely negates the main fact that it's an opinion. BF3 on PC will have more realistic graphics, higher resolution possibilities, etc. However, when I look at videos of both games, that just doesn't seem to matter to me because the art direction, animation, cinematic production and presentation, gameplay, voice acting, music, story, etc. are all much more pleasing coming fr...

GoW3 has amazing graphics, and certain parts of it have yet to be matched (until maybe UC3), but the graphics are not consistent throughout (always really good, but never at its top level). I still think UC2 or maybe KZ3 are the best overall looking games released, at least till UC3 comes out.

The Pandaren race has been around in Warcraft lore a good bit longer than Kung Fu Panda (somewhere around 2002-2003 I believe, when Warcraft 3 expansion came out).

The main reason expansions have brought people back to WoW is because the other big MMO's released have been major to minor disappointments (Age of Conan, Warhammer Online, Aion, Rift, etc.) so people got bored with those games to return to something they were familiar with and felt confident in it's quality. If Bioware can release a polished, well balanced, well-designed game (as with pretty much all their games), SWTOR will be a different situation and something WoW has not yet had...

Saying people will play WoW over SWTOR because WoW lets you play free for 10-20 levels is ridiculous. The first 20 levels of WoW is nothing, and it's not there for people who don't want to pay for a game. It's there to get people hooked on WoW so they will pay.

SWTOR has a very good chance of taking away a massive market share of the MMO market. Not only does it have the name "Star Wars" going for it, but it's also by Bioware, one of the most tr...

@darthv72

What you are saying is very true and valid, but it works the same way with books>movies. The difference is that there have been about 500x (probably higher than that) more book>movie than game>movie transfers, so they have learned how to get it right every now and again (granted, still not very often).

The trick is finding a good writer for the script, which is something the producers of game transfers apparently haven't been too inter...

I don't think IGN is biased or anything like that, but I do think their writing it bland and uniform. All of their reviews follow a pattern when reading it and there almost seems to be a format sheet they use when writing them. While I doubt that's true, it does seem that way when reading their reviews. To be fair though, there are quite a few sites/magazines that do this, and it just points out a lack of writing skill, or rather, writing ingenuity.

The few revie...

As great as Crash and Jak/Daxter are/were, neither series has the critical acclaim and momentum that Uncharted has/is developing. If UC3 sells more than UC2 (which would make it one of the top 3 best selling ps3 exclusives I believe), I see no reason for them to abandon the series, especially since there is so much that can still be done with the Uncharted universe.

Eh, the game may have been underrated by those sites giving it a 3/10 and such, but the game was FAR from a masterpiece.

The game you are describing sounds more like Nier. It had many flaws too, but probably the best soundtrack released this generation, and a great story, but with average visuals and an average to below average gameplay style but still an underrated game that too many people missed.

The Last Remnant was pretty much all around below avera...

This is just one of those situations where it's a little misleading to claim that this is what the game would look like in HD. Sure, the resolution is gonna be higher, but that doesn't mean it's gonna look like a "next gen" console or PC quality title.

The game is impressive artistically, as are all Zelda games, but no matter what the resolution is, the game won't look like much more than a great looking Wii game. That's not saying that it...

This is a great game (and expansions), so if anyone hasn't played it, I would highly recommend it, especially considering it's only $5 for many many hours of fun.
