It would be a shame, but if there is only one franchise SEGA decides to localize from Atlus, it would be Persona.
I may be alone in this, but the only thing I hope for is that Persona stays as a console-first series. I haven't really dealt with handhelds in a long time, and I love the Persona series. A crossover release of Vita/PS4 would be great. I don't think anyone will care if the game doesn't look like a PS4 game in terms of graphics.
@helghast102
I believe Atlus Co. is well over twice the size of Nippon Ichi Software, so I don't that's gonna work.
I do agree they should stay 3rd party.
However, about the SMTxFE project. They could require, on being bought, that all current projects are completed if bought by, say, Sony. That would not be an uncommon occurance, as similar situations have happened in the past. Also, it is very unlikely they could be sued for aban...
Main problem with Nintendo, at least for me, is that they would probably never have a major release on a console again. The handheld games are great and all, but I'm a MUCH bigger fan of console games. I don't want to see Persona be exclusive to handhelds (3DS or Vita).
While I personally really like the movies (well, the first two), there is legitimate reasons for people to dislike them.
Many people view the bad acting (let's face it, other than Mel, the acting is pretty bad) and low budget (although they did great with the low amount they had) as insurmountable flaws. The films are about the realism (which is why there really isn't a ton of explosions and such) and creating a world with a sense of emptiness. It's one of the r...
Killzone and Infamous (and Drive Club, but hard to compare a racer to non-racers) both look significantly better than Ryse, and have actual gameplay.
Graphically, the game looks great, very smooth and high res. However, the game looks very stale and uninteresting. This is probably the first level, so I'm willing to wait and see. Also, music can add a TON of excitement and life to a game if done well, so that's another thing we aren't able to see (hear) here.
Too early to make any serious judgements.
" The X1 does 192GB/s now and PS4 does 170GB. "
How many times does it have to be stated that you can't just add the numbers together before people realize how stupid it is?
Cerny's press conference was full of facts, technical specs, performance evaluations, etc. Microsoft hasn't even released the majority of it's technical specs, much less talked about it.
Regardless of the power difference, if I'm going to spend money, I am much more comfortable doing so for a company that isn't afraid to tell us what we are buying. To be clear, I'll probably buy both, but ps4 is day one, xbone is definitely not.
While I completely disagree that the game is a "turd." The game has definitely become overrated. It was a great game considering it was the teams first and only (?) RPG. I would definitely have liked a sequel considering the potential of the team working on it.
The game was slightly generic, which is understandable given they were trying to appeal to the FF crowd. The game is just not as good as FFVII-IX, but that does not mean it wasn't good enough to see...
Although not really related (other than bumbling wizard), I would love to see a new Discworld game with graphics like these. Also, hey, it is Quantic Dream, so I think they would be good at making a point-and-click (well, controller equivalent) adventure game.
While the Wii U may be more powerful than the 360/ps3, it's not significantly so in most areas. That's why there hasn't been a game released for it that is better looking than the best looking ps3/360 games. While I'm sure it's capable of doing so, Nintendo first party (let's face it, that's pretty much all they have) just haven't learned how to optimize their machine enough to create their most capable graphics.
Now, compare that to ps4/one,...
Well, the Wii was far more about the gimmick than the games (it had some good ones, but motion controls still suck (imo)). I do agree that sales don't matter as long as they hit a certain threshold (so the companies don't go bankrupt).
In terms of gameplay the game is very different.
One of the best things about FFXI that they are keeping, thankfully, is the way they present the storyline as if it were a single-player experience. Much better than presenting the story through a wall of text in a quest window.
The game certainly failed in a lot of places, but to claim any game anywhere ever made has more hackers than Diablo 2 is naive.
...What an insult to PC's.
@DragonKnight
That's completely irrelevant. Nielsen, Gallup, etc. all use selective polling to gain data from the the most diverse group or the group that will best represent the intended audience.
In the case of XBox One, the intended audience is pretty much everyone that buys electronics.
First off, this is a UK site, meaning the audience that the site attracts is fairly small when compared to the world (or in MSFT's case, the ...
Also, the game plays better with a controller, so there is no PC advantage as their may be with other games, in terms of controls.
PS4 is an unreleased console, Wii U is already out. That's all that needs to be said. An unreleased system is gonna get more hype.
I'm usually not one to be uptight or oversensitive to video game violence/rhetoric. However, from a business standpoint, that line should not be released.
They can come up with something else that would be just as effective, without the unnecessary media attention of alluding to the player as a murderer. They could easily change it to something more about becoming an assassin or spy, where the connotation of the word isn't so readily open to outrage.
@mohuzas
I agree that the game won't sell much on the Xbone (especially KH3), but it's not really a waste of money, since with the way their engine works, the ps4 and xbone versions are both ported from the PC with little effort.
You mention the WiiU. If you say that, you must mean that they should have abandoned the ps4 as well, because it would cost a lot more money to port the game to the WiiU than the Xbone, and it would look incredibly poor in c...
