Why would we support Bethesda anymore than we already have by purchasing Skyrim (and then getting shafted). When PSN went down people weren't saying (it's still a business). No, Sony offered everyone a free year of PS+ ($50). Microsoft paid them for timed exclusive DLC and their scared to come forward about it. They weren't thinking about gamers, they were thinking about their pockets. You make us wait well over a year for DLC, guess it's only right for us to make you wait a c...

Microsoft have definitely made themselves a key player in gaming. I really want them the focus more on establishing new IPs (first party exclusives). There is actually nothing incorrect about your statement. While I will be going with Sony's PS4 "Orbis" before Microsoft's next system, I still plan on own both eventually.

getting an Orbis first tambien!

it's only the codename until Microsoft makes an official announcement. C'mon Sony and give us voice commands with playstation 4 aka Orbis.

realize one fact. There will never be another "ps2" again. Stop trying to compare the success of the ps3 according to ps2 standards. It's like trying to compare every FPS success based on COD standards. If ps3 sells 100 million then, it will looked at as a success to Sony.

you're on a roll for being wrong. Sony has stated that they don't pay for any exclusives and companies only do so by their choice and nothing else.

Microsoft paid for to get GTA4 the same time as ps3. 75 million to be exact.

If I'm not mistaken I did say Sony had some short comings this generation. You're play semantics with this now. You're using "head start" in a different context then other people. We already made this point about Nintendo if you were to use that type of logic. Sony's previous generations, each playstation has sold over 100 million. All signs show the ps3 is going to continue that trend. The last generation didn't make Sony look bad, it actually does the opposite....

on the previous generation to justify Microsoft from going first to last this generation. He was saying that when a generation starts, the previous one is irrelevant because those sales are locked in stone. Going by that logic, Nintendo would have lost the most market share. Nothing justifies blowing a lead as big as 10 million with a year headstart. I'm pretty sure investor aren't being as optimistic about it as you are.

you seem to lack it to a certain degree. Microsoft started this gen with a 100% market. This isn't going off of the generation before it. We're speaking solely about this gen. They went from a dominating first to a distance third this generation alone. Microsoft had PC-like architecture, advertisement, exclusive DLC, and let's fact it (America). Wii passed had it's price point and innovation to propel it passed 360. Sony's first party and 2nd party have shot Sony into the ...

with the anti Sony news. Now i wont deny that Sony had some short comings this generation. There are so many other factors that come into play when you're talking about the ps2. It was a much different market at the time. Dreamcast died because of piracy and Microsoft didn't launch xbox until some time after ps2. PS2 expanded the market as a whole. Kinda of like how the Wii did this gen. Sony also had a format to push and bring programmers up to multicore cpu (8 instead of 4)with the ...

backwards compatibility is needed in the early stages until the platform's library can stand on it's own feet. Once people have more, good, next-gen genres to play then I don't think "most" people would really think mind if it fazed out. For early adopters, I say to find someone who does re-balling and get that done to your launch system. People complained about the original model's price but it paid off in this case. They keep BC because emotion engine was built in....

matter to me. I own xbox360, ps3, and wii U so bring on the games. What i think we all can agree on is that this game actually shows the potential of the wii U. With that said, all those gif and screenshots just make me glad that I own a ps3 (ps4 day one). This does look like some you're not going to want to pass up if you're a wii U owner. 2013 looks to be the return of JRPGS.

it's rumored that Microsoft is going to have 3gigs of the 8gigs dedicated to the OS.

"Volume of RAM is the key element in Durango's favour - there'll be 8GB in total, with a significant amount (two sources we've spoken to suggest 3GB in total) reserved for the OS."

it it would really only have about 5GB of DDR3 available for games.

I love how you took only a small portion of my statement even though I provided the reason why i would be. The reason I buy a games console is for games, first and foremost. As far as experiences, Sony created an two new genres for gaming. Play, Create, Share and i don't even know how to classify Heavy Rain. You have Journey, Flower, DCUO, and Starhawk. When you say experience, Sony offers more of it from a first party perspective. When you're talking about a game system, games ARE w...

I definitely think that the next gen systems are going to be shown to developers only to start garnishing possible exclusives in the future. While I will be inevitably owning both consoles, I'm squeezing the trigger first on SONY's system. It solely lies in the fact that SONY has the most first party studios out of all the BIG 3. So whether third party releases something within that launch window, we're guaranteed something from the first party.

On a side note i t...

my entire comment and take only bits and pieces from it. "...we can expect to see at least ONE or TWO games running at 4k resolution.." I never said that that would be the standard for games.

Gumtrol pretty much repeated what I said. I'm just providing evidence that this will indeed be supported on ps4.

@Bordel_1900
that's why I posted the video. The demo showed being rendered @ 4k so utopia is here i guess.

same thing about HD when it was first announced. Given SOny's CES press Confeence and the big industry push for 4k, PS4 will have it. Some of you are thinking it's mandatory, no it's not. It will simply support it just like the ps3 didn't initially support 3d, but did at a later time. That's all i'm saying. Sony doesn't think one or two years ahead, they think five or ten years ahead. It's called future proofing your hardware.

Another thing is ...

Please wait on the official numbers coming from Microsoft and Sony. But for all those naysayers saying ps3 would never surpass xbox360....

PS3 has surpassed xbox360 in worldwide sales (shipped) 77 million to 76 million roughly from the latest report. These numbers are as of December 2012.

If ps4 is atleast 5 times faster than ps3, than we can expect to see at least one or two games running at 4k resolution. It should be noted that sony ran the 4k demo with 4 ps3s connected. So if anyone says ps4 wo...
