argument simply because Walking Dead's lead character was black. Like Blacklash93, mentioned before, it just has to be a good character with a compelling story. Duke Nukem had a white male as the main character and it still bombed. But lets just be honest here, the black protagonist (if you want to call him that) that we really want, is SPAWN!!!! Someone should have definitely made a Spawn games using Arkham City's combat system. Using he cape for stealth gameplay.

this gen, I'm sure Sony's a little more safer than Microsoft. I would say Nintendo but they have Fire Emblem, Monster Hunter, Legend of Zelda, and other franchise icons. Now that Microsoft is guaranteed at least some market share next gen, they should focus more on developing new IPs. I'm going with Sony because they have a proven track record.

I've been waiting for someone to point out the fact that Microsoft has now moved into last even though they, technically, launched this gen. Does Sony and Nintendo have the market share they had 20 years ago? No, of course not. Atari is no longer around and neither is Sega. I think Microsoft lost ground when they started focusing too much on Kinect. They ended up alienating some of those hardcore gamers. In a gaming market, games need to come first.

im pretty sure ps3 lets you transfer videos off your media sever, natively to your ps3. You could also download video directly from ps3 browser. Ps3 supports more video formats natively than xbox360. Ps3 can be used as a bluray player. All this was done with the ps3 day one.

if you actually read the article, Criterion is actually using the PC textures on the Wii U version. Lighting, textures, effects.... are all coming from the PC version. If you include the excellent Miiverse integration, then, yes, it's probably the best version.

but I will agree with you on the CELL+RSX. AMD is using that exact same method with their new APU (CPU+GPU) is exactly like the CELL from a conceptual standpoint. Pretty much having your CPU perform GPU tasks freeing up some workload for the GPU. I don't know why he's laughing when DICE gave an entire workshop on this when they were developing Battlefield 3(ps3 looks closer to PC than Xbox360). That's why is isn't a shock when you see Sony going with AMD's APU+GPU. Very si...

Sony is no longer tracking ps2 sales. Going from what we know from the IDC report and Sony's q2 + q3 reports last year, it's 77 million.

ps3 q2 report.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
70.2 million (as of September 30th 2012)

70.2 + 6.8 = 77 Million

This falls exactly in line with the IDC prediction. Just like they were s...

that one way of doing things but given what previous generation have taught us (and advertising 101), you want it to have a mass appeal to it. Consoles that have came out on top have all manage to expand the video game market as a whole. PS1 ability to play CDs, Ps2 ability to play DVD, and Wii with Wii Fitt. I also believe ps3 being one of the best blu-ray players also helped it. I think Ps4 should be like your personal assistant (siri, Svoice, Google Now). One thing people have to give Nint...

At the launch of a new system, you definitely need backwards compatibility. Even with the Wii U extensive launch lineup, the games for the system are feeling long in between one another. Wii U's launch window was considered to be one of the best. Once the new platform's library is substantial enough to stand on it's own, then and only then, should backward compatibility be debatable(it should still remain optional). Backwards compatibility was actually a really big selling feature...

but I will not deny, Microsoft did alot better this gen compared to their previous outing. They gained tremendous market share, what were once PS exclusives, and made themselves a key player in gaming. That being said, Sony proved that you can never count them out. They overcame many adversities (some were of their own making)to overtake their closest competitor who had a incredible head start. Wars are inevitable whenever there is a choice between. PC realm, Nvidia vs AMD, Intel vs AMD, Noct...

he's right actually. Also you can argue the shipped vs sold to consumer all you want, but once retailers receive their shipments, those consoles are considered sold. I wouldn't consider IDC (International Data Corportation) some silly N4G fool. It's these guys job to know and unlike Micheal Patcher, make accurate assessments. The report said Microsoft shipped/sold 76 million. Microsoft financial report says 75.9 million. Only being off of worldwide numbers by 100k> is pretty da...

Might want to do a little better research next time. IDC said microsoft shipped about 76 million at the end of 2012. In Microsoft's report they indeed shipped 75.9 million by the end of 2012.

Gears of war exile? I'm guessing they would have been telling the story of the stranded. I wonder why they abandoned this?

is, in most cases, an afterthought. Last of Us could be done on PC seven years ago but we have yet to see it. You actually get people asking for Half-Life 3, World of Warcraft, E.V.E, etc. PC only receives a fraction of titles a year compared to consoles.

You lost me a "as deep as halo". Maybe that were true back in Halo2 but that isn't the case anymore. I own Halo 4, and all it reminds me of is COD in a Halo Universe. There are alot of people rather disappointed with it, including myself. Most people who bought Halo 4 (day one) either stop playing, or traded it in towards Black Ops 2.

I went over the top a little bit. You don't seem like a bad guy. I'm ready for next gen too. But I'm not going to skip on some of these games that are being released late in ps3's life cycle. If you remember, God of War was release late in ps2's life cycle and it turned about to be a stellar IP.

mentioning PC on a ps3 exclusive anyway. You're comparing 2006 hardware to 2012-2013 hardware. Are you kidding me? I've owned every GOD of War since it's release on the ps2. I guess we should all skip on Last of Us or GTA5? PC is still treated like the red head stepchild. There are few, and I mean a very few, PC titles that warrant investing in a PC. Besides when all is said and done, the developers try to get it to consoles anyway (Metro2033, Crysis, Witcher 2). If that is what y...
