sarcasm there. I really hope Microsoft isn't Kinect focused with this one. I know alot of people who never used it after it's initial purchase. Given what the rumors are saying, Xbox: Infinite will be slightly less powerful than PS4.
couldn't win a race with all that wind blowing in their direction this gen. I've asked this before and still didn't receive an answer from the xbox crowd. They did everything they possibly could to win this gen and still ended up falling behind. What can they do differently? If you say exclusives, there is literally no way Microsoft can match Sony in exclusives. There looks like there might be a good chance that it's going to "Always-online" console.
people are disagreeing with Sony Addict. Micorosoft just hit 77.2 million as of March 31st 2013. Sony hit 77 million at the end of 2012 with ps3.

nope wrong sir, I buy most of my multiplatforms on ps3 because most of my friends are on there. After my 2nd 360 died i went like 4 years before getting another one. I only bought my last 360 when gears 3 came out and the disappointing Halo4. You can check my post history. Warhawk, GTA4, COD4, MGO(metal Gear Online), KZ2, Uncharted 2, SF4, UMCV3, KZ3, BF:Bad Company 2, BF4, Starhawk, latest is InJustice: Gods Among US. You can also check my XboxLive tag activity to verify.
I can respect that and you might very well be right. But when you mention quality software, Sony is the first thing that comes to mind. But if I know Microsoft, then they're definitely have an exclusive trilogy waiting.
The reason why I can make such a claim is because Microsoft had everything going right for them this gen and still managed to fall behind. At this point you have to ask "what else can the do?" They were out of the gate first, always cheaper than ...
its too late. Anythng now can be seen as just them playing catch up. Just don't possibly see how Microsft can stop Sony's momentum.
thank you for getting what i was saying. Sony introduce bringing PC mods to consoles with Unreal Tournament 3. I know people remember the Spartan Master Chief Skin mod on PS3. It was a feature that xbox360, to my understanding, couldn't match. Whoever thinks giving a game more longevity using mods is a bad thing, is insane IMO. How can getting more bang for your buck be a bad thing?

that i think would give a lot of gamer longer life spans on consoles is mods. They messed around with it with Unreal Tournament 3. I really want them to incorporate mods back into gaming.
pass but to impose this on single player games is unacceptable. EA received alot of backlash from Simcity over this. Online pass works the best. If you're going to play online, then a console being plugged in is a no brainer. But if I don't want to hook my console up or my router is out, this are were problem lie.
are inaccurate when they say Microsoft is using the "core" of windows 8 as Xbox:OO(infinite) OS. Windows 8 is not being well received around the world. I think they should say a modified version of Windows 7 (which is all 8 is). I'm more interested in XBOX LIVE. If they continue to charge for online, how are they going to justify the price?
PC gamers laugh at us. If you want a multi tasking console then build you a PC gaming rig. It's not that I'm against consoles running apps (our phones do). But it doesn't mean you should lose sight of your primary objective, playing games. If Microsoft chooses to make xbox:OO a set-top box, then it sounds good to me. They are almost guaranteeing that if someone's TV is on, then so is their xbox:OO. This would be for great advertisements.
idiot if you think you're gaming rig will be running these "next-gen" engines @ 60fps. You are running current gen engines "native resolution of 1260x720". Yes you increase the resolution but all you're doing is upscaling the image. You better have better frame rates given that those games also run on PS3/360 (6-7yr old tech).
Battlefield 4 engine is a natively 1080p. They required 16gb of DDR3 and a Radeon 7990/Geforce Titan to run it @ 60fps. Sor...
but in my case, while I'm curious as to what Microsoft will show, I'm firmly sold on ps4. In other words, I don't think they can show me anything to persuade me to buy xbox:00 over Sony's system.
right there. I don't think I can wait for a second shipment to get my ps4.
You're clearly talking out of your ass on this one. If you think that Mark Cerny doesn't know what he's talking about, then you're just being in denial.
To even fathom that something which requires a port is faster than something integrated, is preposterous. It's like saying your phone reads it's SD card faster than it's internal memory.
Who exactly are you trying to convince here? You're trying to tell everyone that Cerny, who...
"What high end PC runs games at 30fps. High end PCs are pushing beyond 100fps even at 5760*1080."
This is called "Eyefinity" that was introduced by AMD 5000 series cards. My analogy would be if you took a 480p image and made it Full screen on your 1080p TV/monitor, it doesn't change the fact that it's still a 480p image being upscaled.
You fail to realize that the games their running at these resolution and framerates are games for...
Show me the graphics card sporting 7gb or GDDR5? Even then, show me where CPU can access this memory freely?
Cheapest 7970 with only 3gb of GDDR5 is still 389.99

that some people are confusing "high end" with "enthusiast. An enthusiast buys a cards knowing that cards capabilities will not be fully realized immediately. Just like what we're seeing with the Kepler series released two years ago. The average PC rig doesn't contain a radeon 7990 or Titan. It may contain 16gb of DDR3 but its unlikely. So i guarantee most "high end" rigs won't be running BF4 on ultra @ 60Fps. Plz get off your high horse and join us in re...
Even then that's just a guess in my opinion. We don't know how much is actually set aside for the OS; probably a 1gb. This is also assuming the Guerilla had the very latest devkit available.
On a side note, people never thought ray-tracing was possible in games 5 years ago. Technology has came a long way since then. People thinking that ray-tracing now isn't possible need to watch Nvidia's Kepler demonstration. Developers can now achieve this, now everyone...
I know you're trying to play "the voice of reason" card so your bubbles won't take a hit. But the general consensus from gamers and developers, remains very positive. The only negative attention is coming from xbox fans claiming to be PC gamers. People are going into Micorosoft's meeting with questions that need answers. Those rumors have hurt and need to be addressed.
Will this be Kinect focused? (kinect built in)
Can you assure the gam...
