@xtremexx PS4 could run games at 4K, hell even Wii U could run 4K games if they were at an appropriate level of image quality for their hardware to handle those games at 4K resolutions.

Both systems have HDMI 1.4, which can output 4K native images.

It's all down to what level of visual polish developers want to put into their games.

PS4 couldn't handle a game like Driveclub at 4K, but GT6 could probably be pushed to run at 4K on PS4, ...

PS4 will easily hit 35M in sales by 31/12/15.
It's already sold 11M units. October will be a huge month with a slew of 3rd party releases and a major 1st party exclusive in Driveclub (people canceled their pre-orders of PS4 because that game was delayed).
By end of September PS4 will easily be at 11.5-12M units sold. October could very well gain the system another 1.5-2M with PS4 hitting 13.5-14M before November, November could easily mean another million, maybe more, Dece...

I totally agree, it does feel like a really good time to be a gamer, especially on PS4.

I can imagine myself spending ages in the world WiLD has to offer, if Horizon has a huge environment I'd love to explore it.

People have forgotten that the hardware in the newer platforms allows for much better physics, which is where the game changing aspect of the generation will come in and that has a real effect on gameplay, it's not that the hardware is just t...

@plut0nash I agree with you on the whole point that this should be a solid game, GG are a very well established developer, with a lot of talent. For this project they even hired the writer of Fallout New Vegas.

The title's already had well over 3 years in development, so I doubt it's far from a polished state at this point.
I wouldn't be shocked if these leaks weren't from Guerrilla Games themselves to see how people react to the concept.

Nothing Sony or Naughty Dog have said has indicated 12-14months.
If anything Jim Ryan's comments at Gamescom made it sound like it was coming in early 2015, he did say all 1st party exclusives shown at the beginning of the conference were coming in 6 months, which would make Uncharted 4 a potential January/Feb 2015 release.

For Sony Quantic Dream and Ready at Dawn seem like excellent talent to have inside of Sony.
Wild Sheep could be another potential 1st party studio, they have an awesome concept in WiLD and Michel Ancel knows how to create an awesome game.

If they haven't become a Sony 1st party then Housemarque would also be an excellent partner for Sony to have.
Maybe Q-Games could be another prospect, they have a good relationship with Sony.

Anyone that ...

@ Cryptcuzz Sony are having a conference tomorrow, any new announcements will likely be made at that event.

4291d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Nope, not everything.

This isn't the conference Sony's holding on the 17th, Sony's already said they'll have more announcements on that Pre-TGS show in Japan.

There was also a flier shown recently on Dualshockers that said more games are to be announced for release this December, so there's still stuff to look forward to.

Apart from E3 Sony hasn't shown any new stuff from 1st party developers, so TGS could be where the...

Delorean doesn't reduce lag, it attempts to mask it by rendering a bunch of different potential outcomes you may take within a game, then sending them to your hardware before you make your next move in a game.
It's like predictive text, it's never going to be 100% right all of the time and could likely end up making mistakes causing stuttering and likely causing more glitches within games.

There's also the issue of even more processing hardware being n...

The idea that Xbox One was released before it was ready is completely unfounded and it makes zero sense because these systems are planned out for years before release, both systems have software improvements over time.

Both PS4 and Xbox One share the same GPU hardware, both can use the same features.
They both have 7000 series AMD GPU architecture, which carries the DX11 feature set.
DX just like GNM in PS4 is software, it's an API or Application Programme...

What you've said about PS4's performance difference compared to Xbox One isn't even remotely true.
For starters no developer has said PS4 uses a 14+4 CU set-up, that was something Sony considered before PS4 was announced, they ended up giving devs access to 18CUs so they can use them all how they choose.

Sony didn't want to limit developers by making them use 4 CUs for Compute tasks and 14 for graphics, it's actually the case that the ACEs are like...

You've given no evidence to prove your point.
I stand by what I said and I'll add something.

They're not going to make back $2B in no time, not considering the game has already made it's 54 million in sales, Microsoft doesn't get any of the money made before the deal takes place.

It's doubtful that Minecraft or any game from Mojang is going to make that kind of money in the near future.
The studio is tiny too, with only 40 staff and Microsoft won't have the brains behind Minecraft, because Notch won't be working for Microsoft, he owns ...

PS4's probably going to sell at least 15 million units by the end of this year, to just meet that number in 60 weeks and assuming Xbox One has sold 5 million units to date Xbox One would have to sell over 166K a week more than whatever the PS4 sells every week.

Considering the Xbox One has been outsold constantly for something like 7 months globally unless every multiplat starts performing better again on Xbox this generation and MS gets the sales there or they prove they...

Uncharted 4 is a definite must have as well for me, but not the only one.

Rime and WiLD are an absolute must have for me, they just look phenomenal.
I mean Rime is basically one huge open world puzzle, that puts you in a Anime film (at list that's what it seems like too me).
WiLD allows the player to traverse a world the size of Europe as any animal or magical creature the game can offer, seems to have a survival aspects to the gameplay as well.

Sounds pretty likely too me.
Going by VGchartz numbers PS4 sold 319K in it's first week over there, 360 was at 229K by the end of it's 1st year, I recon XB1 will be lucky to do 250K-300K in it's 1st year in Japan.

I guess we'll see though.

The funny thing is that the Monday conference wasn't even anything to do with TGS.

Sony's true pre-TGS conference happens on the 17th of this month and Sony have already said they've got plenty more to show off.

Considering the SCEJ event on Monday was all basically geared towards 2nd and 3rd party offerings in Japan Sony must be holding back some pretty stellar announcements for their proper TGS conference.

Forgetting the obligat...

Gamersyde has much better examples and they look much better than Forza Horizon 2.
You'll also notice that Turn 10 hasn't said that FH2 is actually running on XB1.

All of Xbox One's specs are known about, there's no stacked GPU or anything else to boost system performance above the 12CU (50% less than PS4), 16 ROP (100% less than PS4), 48TMU GPU (50% less than PS4) it already has.
Even the higher clock speed of the GPU in Xbox One doesn't m...
