So true (Demon's Souls too) and the Souls games are regarded as some of the most amazing, hardcore and deep titles in the history of gaming.

I agree Sony really should buy R@D, they seem like a very talented bunch and are very suited to Sony's camp.

I can see The Order selling well over a million units.
IMO R@D and Quantic Dream should be under the Playstation banner, along with Housemarque.
Insomniac Games should be in the Sony stable as well.

I can see Capcom joining Sony, they seem to be tightly aligning themselves with Sony now.
With Sega seemingly on the way out it...

Well Playstation is essentially becoming Sony's Games, Movie and Music Streaming platform, while there will always be physical hardware in the way of consoles and likely handhelds, they are preparing for if the future happens to shift to a cloud based system (not that I personally think that the internet can ever be reliable enough to replace physical hardware handling the processing natively).

A new PSP/Vita handheld could be announced in the not too distant future.

Technically Sony's mobile phone division was overvalued in the past, so their recent losses weren't really physical cash losses, rather balancing of the books.
Technically Mobiles should have actually made a slight profit.

TVs are their own company now, Sony has a large share stake in them, but they are their own thing now.

You realize that Sony has more divisions than just those 2 and Playstation right?
Imaging Sensors, Semi-Conductor...

Yeah it's going to be beyond amazing when the ICE Team develops new tools based around more optimized API in the future on PS4.

GT7 will probably look better than Driveclub and run at 60FPS.
God of War will probably be a visual marvel!

I can't wait to see what Guerrilla Game's Horizon will look like!!!

A game melding Mercenary with the core timeline and elements of KZ2/3 and Merc, made from the ground up for PS4 like Media Molecule are doing with Tearaway Unfolded.

It could still be called Killzone 4, but maybe have you playing as both Danner and Sevchenko.

KZ seems to be on a 2 year release cycle since 2 came out, so I could see Cambridge releasing this game by the end of this year.

PS4 is in need of a new exclusive FPS game and this could...

@KNWS: LOL MS had to deal with the issues of using DDR3 from day 1, that's why they couldn't go with a faster GPU or more CUs, ROPs, etc and Sony could, because they chose substantially faster RAM and mods to their GPU's compute pipeline.

As for your balance argument, Sony made all 18CUs accessible to devs, to use how they want, for Graphics or other compute.
I'm ignoring nothing, I've looked at all of the evidence, it fully supports what I'm s...

@Gamer777: you're right it's not just 2X more powerful than Xbox One, it's actually well beyond that, both systems have the same supplier of processing tech, but PS4 has far more bandwidth, with ample RAM size capacity connected to that bandwidth and far more mods for features that will matter in the future.

If Xbox One is somehow more capable than the specs say then you'll be able to explain how, without some BS excuse like "ms are software kings" o...

Well said, it's so true, the reality is that Sony are letting the games speak for themselves, dropping the occasional announcements about an SDK update, like SDK 2.0 and showing the results in a game like Uncharted 4, which is the best looking thing this gen so far, months before release, already running very well, with huge environments and a level of physics never seen before in a game on a console.

GDC is right around the corner and by that time The Order and Bloodborn...

Anyone that's objective and understands hardware and software knows that the real difference between the two boxes can't have been shown by developers yet.

The differences in RAM say it all really, I mean anyone expecting XB1 to make the most out of it's GPU with only around half the required bandwidth to big storage is deluding themselves, even having eSRAM with it's 32-64 smaller storage compared to what a standard 7770 or 7790 require doesn't really hel...

As far as EGTTR there was this post on VG247:
http://www.vg247.com/2014/0...

"Speaking with VG247, The Chinese Room’s Dan Pinchbeck said of the game’s release window, “Rapture actually wasn’t ever slated for a 2014 release – we’re still very early in development. So we can confirm it’s not going to be out this year. As soon as we d...

It's absolutely very much early days, so there will be a lot more that developers will learn from their time developing for PS4.

All that SDK 2.0 stuff of the CPU dealing with the fine grain Physics code and GPU dealing with the bigger math is very interesting IMO!

When you considering that AMD has had AI support in GPU Compute since like the 4800 series GPUs no doubt Sony will add similar AI support for GPU and Multi-Core CPU in a later update and then d...

Very true, looking at the fact that SDK 2.0 only released a short while before PSX this only adds more weight to the game performance improving vastly over the months before launch.

I mean that SDK will take time to fully implement into the game. With everything being so based around physics simulation and PS4's GPU and CPU doing a highly collaborative effort in processing that code I wouldn't be shocked if we see the game running at 1080p 60FPS locked with better gra...

So true, thanks for your nice and objective comments below.
Although I would add that the performance of hardware will have a pretty big baring on what the difference in game performance ends up being, especially when you have both Sony and Microsoft making the most out of the tech they have with their own talented programmers.

These people acting like XB1 can somehow make a difference because they apparently (and based on no facts) have some coders that can push thin...

@IGiveHugs2NakedWomen: Thanks, it's clear from the disagrees there's a lot of B***Hurt because these people know I'm right.

Xbox Fans lap up the marketing BS people like Pannello spew and then add the stuff from people like MisterXMedia and his split personalities Insider and MisterCTeam to their own brand of circular reasoning.

Logical, scientific people look at the facts and form an opinion on that.

The reality is a GPU needs su...

LOL Albert Pannello doesn't know what the hell he is talking about, trying act like MS have more experience with games consoles is enough to show that this guy loves to reach, rather than actually offer up anything concrete to support his argument.

FYI Sony has the ICE Team, their API devs, that have some of the most talented software programmers in the games industry, ex NASA coders that optimized down the binary level on PS3 and they'll do the same on PS4.

@Moldiver:

So much fail here it's not even funny!

MS announced after Sony, yet still did all of the DRM stuff, they made their bed and they should lie in it!

Playstation is the name in console gaming, Sony showed last gen that they're for the gamer, by bringing the games and past generations have shown this, Microsoft on the other hand have always only done the bare minimum int he way of exclusives and used 3rd party as their main foc...

LMFAO Sony's shown the entire industry how console gaming is done, Microsoft copy, constantly, can't come up with anything original, yet Sony has, Microsoft copied umpteen times, made nothing innovative, if anybody's afraid to innovate and take risks it's Microsoft, thinking they can control the industry with stupid ideas like DRM, consoles that rely on "the Cloud", that doesn't work and has been proven that the internet isn't even reliable enough to support ...

Yep, this is utterly pointless, seriously if you were away from home you could just take your XBox One with you, you would probably have your PC set-up on the same screen as your Xbox, especially if you have a good one, you're not going to compromise on display by having your XB1 on a lesser screen than your PC's on.

Microsoft should keep PC and Console as separate entities and that way they have reasons to sell XBox Ones too people, with exclusive games.

It means the game is ready to sell, optimized to a point where the developers are happy for game discs to start being printed.

There can still be a patch created in the amount of time between now and when the game goes on sale though.
That's assuming Ready at Dawn aren't already happy with the state of their game.
Considering how well it was running at PSX I doubt it's buggy.
