How do you know?
Miiverse, one single screenshot, internet browsing, friends list all take up 1GB on Wii U. Sure, Nintendo may not be the best at dividing resources for an OS but adding instant access demos, game streaming, game recording, a new social network service (what's Sony calling it anyway), cross game chat, and other multi-tasking features are going to take up a lot of memory.
I'd like to think it won't be more than 1GB either, but this...
Here's one crazy idea:
Maybe, when they say its 8-10x more powerful than say, the PS3, they're hinting that only 4GB-6GB is actually available to developers and 2GB-4GB is used for game recording, streaming.
Wild theory, I wouldn't be surprised if the OS ended up taking up 2GB.
PS4 daily? C'mon guys, even if this is true they likely have no "source" at all.
Why would a first party studio not know of these rumored RAM changes in advance? Even if this change happened in January as rumored, Guerilla Games would have known months before guys. Do you really think Sony is that incompetent to not tell their first party studios these things and to not get them newer devkits first?
Also, the devkits are probably already using 8GB RAM anyway, so even if they were aiming for 4GB in game, they're kits already allowed them access to that...
MacBooks or iMacs? If iMacs then I'd say they have a lot more space than what people expect the PS4 to have.
I don't think anyone manufactures anything over 512MB sticks, so unless they got an exclusive 8GB stick it would require 16 sticks. That's going to take up a lot of space.
Even then, if they got an 8GB stick that will cost even more
I'd very much like to see how they fit 16 512MB GDDR5 RAM sticks into a respectable looking box.
It looks impressive, no doubt.
But how do you make up for the lack of R2/L2 or clicking analog sticks on the Vita? Surely most PS4 games will use those. I guess tapping on the back of the Vita solves some of this.
Who are you even replying to?
They're just renewing an old patent from 2004 guys

That is a lot ports and remakes in the Vita's line up. Sorry, I totally remember hearing about Soul Sacrifice coming to US, just forgot. Whoops!
Will Soul Sacrifice even make it to the US? If it does I can't see it lighting up the charts, even if it is amazing. Looks good too.
Other than a new Killzone game what major IPs are coming to the Vita in all regions this year?
To be fair, if Sony/MS come out with $499 next-gen consoles Nintendo really won't have to drop their price.
Most likely I'd say Nintendo won't actually drop the Wii U's lowest price, just bring down the 32GB to $299 and eliminate the basic model.
That makes so much sense but these rumors of this new 4G Vita being $299 don't give me hope.
While I understand that as a Debbie Downer your job is to be negative I think you should look at the big successes of eShop games like Trine 2, MSF, Little Inferno and others.
Most of the eShop games are actually selling pretty good.
Its cool dude. Nice post btw
They say MSN Japan is reporting this news, but they don't include a link to MSN Japan?

The petition link should be the link on N4G.
Yes, but just because the DC was competing with old consoles in 1999 until PS2 released doesn't mean it wasn't competing with PS2 once Sony's console hit the market.
What I'm saying is that once PS4/720 release then the Wii U is competing with them.
"spend more time talking about gaming on social networks than playing games"- this isn't unique to women gamers btw, lol its true of like 90% of all major gaming site communities like N4G, IGN, GameSpot, etc.
"Plays Call of Duty, Halo, Zelda and calls themself a gamer"- WTF are you to decide that isn't enough? Busy people only have time for one game at a time for months, not everyone can spend as much time on games
So much else is ...
