Yea. No surprises here.
How did the Vita get brought into this discussion?
Of course its on par or better.
Well that's not really unique to the Wii U. All companies have strict NDAs about info before release.
Hands on have already revealed these "New maps" in the trailer are simply smaller, reworked maps from Black Ops. Very disappointing
Ok maybe it won't hit 3 million by year's end. My bad on the numbers
Yikes. Vita needs some help in Japan asap.
But from who I don't know because there doesn't appear to be a long term blockbuster coming only to Vita
It will be interesting to see if the Wii U sells well in Japan weeks after launch or not.
Ok. You seem to be taking my comment very seriously for reasons I don't understand.
1. Maybe you're offending by me talking negatively about the PSV's hardware sales?
2. You seem to have ignored "I hope it turns around" and me saying some Vita games "look awesome"
I was responding to the idea that AC:L will save the Vita and I don't think anyone will argue that it will. No single game can, and if any one g...
No, it can't. Not even that poor looking COD will do it.
And with no third party exclusives that actually sell units (Dragon Quest, Monster Hunter) it isn't looking good.
I mean we have a realistic chance that the Vita won't pass 2 million units worldwide by its first anniversary, even so it could maybe fall under 2.5 million
That's Dreamcast territory if I've ever seen it.
I hope it turns around but no ga...
If it has a 10 million + lead by the time other consoles come out then I don't see why not.
Also, everyone is assuming the PS4/720 will be dramatically more powerful than the Wii U.
Since the Wii U looks to be 3-4 times as powerful as current consoles it may be in MS/Sony's best interest to make a console very similar so multiplatform games go everywhere.
Actually I guess that would be better for third parties not Sony/MS whoops
Ubisoft already stated their Wii U exclusives like Legends and Zombi U are only costing them about $1 million each. They will likely make a huge amount of money in return without selling much at all but still have it be a huge success.
Its called money management. Making good games with less money is the solution.
Everyone is forgetting that since this will be an early console game (launch window) it has a boost in sales.
It does have to compete with Mario but because the Wii U's game selection will be limited it will prompt some to pick up more games and there is a good chance Legends could be among them.
I personally think if Legends can outsell the Wii version of Origins (300k) than it will have done pretty well.
My point was, we still have to be convinced to invest in the platform in the first place. And the only way I would be convinced to buy a PSV is exclusive content that will never appear on the PS3.
Why spend money on something just to be able to play the game you already own on the go? I certainly don't have the time for playing handhelds outside of my home and in that case I'll just play it on the PS3.
But I understand why a lot of people will love t...
Even so this cross buy isn't really free to PS3 owners like me since we still have to spend $270 on a Vita with tax, plus $21 for memory card
I hope it comes out in October. The sooner the better for me!
So nobody has thought that PS Nexus could mean a playstation phone worked on with Google? Google has a very popular line of tablets and phones under the Nexus branding that they switch off manufacturers often. Samsung, HTC, Asus, etc.
Sony could be making a PS-certified phone with Google. Never know.
I really hope the Wii U comes out in October like they say. I'm not holding my breath though....
Walking away from the larger amount of money to be made by releasing two $40 Pokemon games on handhelds every 18 months could be considered dumb.
Won't happen. Why would Nintendo make a game (like WOW) that could sell a lot of copies at $50 and have an active user base for years. Sounds good right?
No.
Selling two Pokemon RPGs at once for $40 makes more money and having incremental upgrades between installments leads people to pay $40 again and again whereas an MMO would require a lot of free updates and possibly free to play.
Not a lot of money in that compared to what they alrea...
The lack of a compelling control method using a brand new system's unique controller is strange.
Even though the Wiimote is best for Pikmin it is still surprising that Nintendo can't come up with a good set up using the game pad.
