If you think like him you're an idiot. Nintendo makes half a billion dollars in profit off just one or two 3DS games (Mk7 and 3D Land) so stop saying they should go third party. You can't do math and it's clear. They'd lose SO MUCH MONEY if they did and they're a very profitable business. I think the industry is just upset that Nintendo can play by their own rules and be successful even if their home consoles sell 20 million units over 6 years like Cube
Usually "a majority" refers to more than 2/3rds of something. So if 70% of PS4 releases are September-December 2014 I think people would want to know so they can wait to buy a PS4 then
Coz having Splinter Cell, Watch Dogs, ACIV and developing a sequel to Zombi U is not having faith?
I don't know. It's an odd statement directly from MS. The OS uses 3GB but they never said if Kinect uses some RAM? I doubt that it would need much, especially not more than 1GB.
Clearly they mean their first party games which, since they like, OWN those properties, means no one else can "do" them.
I don't understand. The company is addressing concerns over not having enough core games (concerns expressed back in 2008-2011) by funding Monolith's X (new IP), Wonderful 101 (new IP), Lego City (sorta new IP) and Bayonetta 2. They're letting third parties use Nintendo items and characters in their games more often in order to help them sell (Scribblenauts, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Lego City) more copies because of featuring Nintendo content.
They have alread...
So you're ignoring new IPs in Wonderful 101 and X?
Not to mention all the 3DS new IPs, like Pushmo, Dillon's Rolling Western, Denpa Men, Steel Diver, Spirit Camera, Kerploosh!, and many others.
What are you talking about? Clearly the game has new 1080p textures and is a ground up remake. It obviously looks the same because, well how else would it look?
Also, they're fixing the triforce fetch quest and tingle tuner in it too. As well as making sailing less painful.
@Muffins1223
For now yes. Doesn't really matter tho if Wii U never really takes off. Worst case it will be like the Cube, sell 20-30 million units and make Nintendo massive profits and they'll just keep on making good first party games for a long time. I can live with that. Also, I think the Xbox One is going to fare just as badly as Wii U, if not worse, for being expensive and anti-consumer. Some people may opt for PS4 @ $400 over Wii U but very few will opt for $500...
Why? He's right. Dumb outlets reported that they wouldn't be at E3 when they had a good on floor showing. I think the industry is just upset that Nintendo can get away with doing things their own way.
In case you haven't noticed, most innovation in the industry is in the mobile sector via indie developers who aren't as pressured by the AAA business model drowning them out via major corporations like EA.
Yea Xbox One was confirmed last month as HDMI only too
Because having a NeoGAF thread immediately certifies something as legit or not?
Lol, if there was a riot over something video game relate that didn't have to deal with a serious issue, I don't think the image of the gaming community would ever, ever recover.
The fear is that leaving something like that up to the publishers at all is a bad thing. Some say publishers shouldn't have the option in the first place to block used games.
Odd wording by Redbox, but nonetheless they are referring to how Sony has already said they will "leave it up to the publishers" whether PS4 plays each publishers used games.
It would be funny if Kaz went on stage, said "five hundred and,... oh wait nevermind"
Why would you even begin to think this? If the X1 flops they'll make another console. The OG Xbox made them no money, took nothing but losses and they brought out the 360.
So where was this sentiment when everyone freaked out at the Wii U's rumored 1.24Ghz clock speed, despite being a good processor with different archetechure? (spell, I know)
You're counting non-mainline Pokemon/Mario games. If Ratchet had the IP strength to carry sports spin offs you better bet Sony would pull the trigger
