You'll have to be more specific, ProjectRED. I think we already surpassed Tron around the advent of the PS2, and WarGames way before that. :P

Granted, they'll always be correct. The CG in The Land Before Time VII was horrendous; they'll always be better than that by default.

"Moving away from the fact that the Internet is required for single-player mode..."

NOPE. We do not move away from that fact until it's gone.

I don't really get the bracketing of a "multiplayer" score in this review. The game *is* multiplayer. The cities are smaller because of it. The game is designed to constantly be a multiplayer game.

I'm still fumed. I hardly ever pay full price for a game, and I was going...

Possibly. Or they could be referring to keyboard stuff. Maybe this was some crazy reappropriated debug code instructions list, and someone forgot to change a couple of buttons around on the sheet. Like, why would they not just type out "X" or "Circle" or "Square..." unless the person typing it is paid by the character :P

Word! He was also robbed at the Grammys, but every great artist is robbed at the Grammys.

I don't know many pop artists these days, but I know that Chris Brown hating you is a badge of honor, because he's quite the despicable human being.

Look, none of you are citing Oxford, and neither am I, so let's stop being etymologists and chill for a second.

Sometimes it takes sensationalist journalism to bring attention to a very small point. The industry is changing, and Sony would rather not exclude intelligent female gamers. So, they changed the trophy. Took them all of two seconds, probs. meh.

I love how they're like "Because North America makes up almost half of the market, and Xbox and Nintendo did well in North America, they win!" Um, there are global numbers out there, buddy, and North America's trend in being a percentage of market share will decline in light of developments in China and Brazil. So... Predict away, but at least do it well next time...

I think the Cliffs' Notes version of the review doesn't really say what it means to say. It's saying that it's a game for Naruto fans because it tells so much of a story. All the terminology and characters and events won't mean much if you're not into Naruto.

That said, why would you purchase this game unless you liked Naruto in the first place? Isn't it the point to bring the fighting aspect of the series to life, along with the crazy stories? Th...

Pay ten bucks to unlock the second inning!

I'm glad I'm not a fan of most recent AAA games. If I was, I'd be pretty angry about being fleeced at every turn, like some sort of sheep with regenerative powers.

By the way, in the first act of IGN being awesome that I've seen a while:

http://www.ign.com/articles...

"Because EA is selling this new SimCity as an online game, we're not quite ready to give you an official score until we've spent some serious time with it after its long-awaited launch tomorrow."

Which is what every single si...

The article makes some good points. Nintendo had a lot of help on their earlier consoles from companies who wanted to do *new* things. For years! Square and Enix separately explored just about everything you could do with an RPG on the SNES, for instance! Now, graphics/art budgets are insane due to the demand placed on high-poly AAA games, and companies know it's a risk to make something. Too big of a risk. They do things like target demographic groups and give them what they think they w...

This article...

"...due to the huge demands placed on the servers of EA and Maxis."

Instead of "...due to EA's inability to handle high traffic with their always-on DRM servers."

"With 126 reviews considered “negative” focusing on the city size, always online DRM, and much more. We won’t highlight any of the nonsense here, but you can find it all in the user reviews section if you wish to browse (or just want a g...

This is Capcom we're talking about, right? Go make yourself a sandwich! :P

Oh DMC4, your legacy will live forever.

I know zero Nintendo franchise fans who were also excited about playing this year's CoD. They're looking for stuff that doesn't need to be all grimdark and edgy, yet is designed well enough for anyone to appreciate it, young and old. Nintendo hasn't delivered on that yet for the WiiU either, but when you're talking about Activision, do you seriously believe OpRainfall would have lashed out at a lack of a FPS port?

Good point! If the Skullgirls team is ready to expand the game with a couple new characters due to that Kickstarter, they want as many fans as possible to be on board!

Me too!

There's also the possibility that #3 is Soul Calibur 5, but I'm guessing it's BlazBlue, where ARC System Works may be on a "Just buy Persona 4 Arena already!" kick and want to promote their stuff.

My guesses:
1) Spec Ops: The Line
2) Disgaea (one of them...)
3) BlazBlue (newest iteration)
4) The Cave

That's a good point, considering what we saw this generation with disc storage capacity.

I don't think it's going to be as big an issue, though, since both of these consoles look to be extremely PC-like. Developers have learned from last gen's multiplatform errors, but so have console manufacturers - devs will most likely be looking to develop for high-end PC's, much like the PS4's architecture, and downscale from there to something mid-high like what ...

You mean Ziff Davis. I'm sure the guys at IGN wanted to keep as many games writing outlets open as possible, but the big guys probably took them in from Newscorp to save them from everything collapsing, and this is their alternative.

1up-ocalypse Part 2. Podcasts won't save this one. I hope those guys find amazing places to go.

"Meh" at best re: Sony getting angry over that. IBM was paid to quickly come up with a PowerPC-based chip for the upcoming 360 back then, whereas the Cell processor was in development for quite a while. I don't think they felt betrayed, they just moved on.

It looks like this console generation is about to be a whole lot c...
