I instlaled it on my iMac using bootcamp. Runs circles around OS X on Apple's own hardware. Considering the millions constantly seeking hacks and exploits, and MS' response time, I feel more secure with it than the more obscure OS'. The biggest hacks have been via stupid people, not Windows or any other OS.
Everything except the cannot be topped. That's ridiculous. It is the pinnacle of its genre but cannot be topped?
The treasure hunting actually had little to do with they game. They were random and just the old look for the glimmering pixel. That alone eliminates the "cannot be topped."
Then there's the NPCs that just stand around or walk into ridiculous places and look real fake a lot.
Edit: I guess one should not even...
Gotta agree with you there. They won't be able to get away with accessory rape for another generation. And they'd better address the storage issue. They got by this gen (I don't know how, but they did), next gen they might not be so lucky.
Microsoft's goal is to make money for shareholders, not necessarily be #1.
>>"They simply don't have the talent. This generation has shown that $$$ alone doesn't make a great console. You have to have vision, creativity, and...oh, 1st party devs.<<
That would be "this" generation? The one in which MS is #2 despite the RROD fiasco? What you said sounds good but it kinda doesn't match reality ....
Can say you're right or wrong, only time will tell. But they've got a loooong way to go. Don't know if Sony is willing or able to make the investment. Thanks to the decline of their consumer electronics brands, I don't know that they have the cash to dump into software dev like Microsoft.
I mean, how much effort will it take to integrate the PSN store with the web site so you can purchase anything online and auto-download it to your console?

I'll believe owning 1st party studios is a meaningful benchmark when they all aren't producing copycat FPS' of each other with different textures and maybe higher resolution with each sequel.
The market has shown mass retail prefers the popular mass appeal franchises.
Downloadables/Casuals PSN and XBLA is where its at. If you've got 50 first party releases and only 5 of them are best sellers, is that better or worse than having 10 and 5 of t...
>>Get some friends. <<
And if they like video games like you do, play MP or Co-Op with them.
Well said. +1.
Price is King. $199 is cheaper than $299. Those wanting to save the extra $$ probably don't need more than 32G of storage which they can get with USB (16 x 2). 2 USB still unverified, by me, 20G at a minimum by adding 1 USB. The Elite is repaired, waiting to get it back.
"Windows is licensed on a per-device basis, unless specified otherwise through a seperate agreement through Microsoft; therefore, you may only install Windows on one computer at a time.
For example, with a retail license, you may not install Windows Vista Ultimate with product key X2X4X-X2X4X-X2X4X-X2X4X-X2X4X on your desktop PC, and then install that same copy of Windows Vista Ultimate on your laptop with product key X2X4X-X2X4X-X2X4X-X2X4X-X2X4X without first removing...
When you're talking about a <$500 PC a Windows license is at least 30% of that all by itself.
Wow, that is big. Would love to play Magic The Gathering on the phone while twiddling thumbs. Especially if you can sync with game on XBL for progress.
Still, the GPS on these devices must be open to all apps. I can't life without my fitness and trail mapping apps which run flawlessly on iPhone.
Haven't heard you'll be able to play all XBLA games on Windows Phone 7. Can you provide any source for that? That would be awesome.
I'm not really into phone games, but this looks like one of my all time favorites evovled, Geometry Wars. I'll give it a go on XBLA.
Regarding Windows Phone 7, it'll do fine in the enterprise, at the consumer level. I'm not sold yet, MS can do software, but hasn't shown they can do a touch phone UI yet...
Yeah, they'll send you the 64-bit version. That doesn't mean you have a license to install it on a second machine. You license is good for 1 32-bit OR 64-bit install.
As long as you're moving the license from the previous PC, which now has no OS. So, if you're replacing a PC you can use the OS. If you're building an additional PC, you need a new OS license or else it's piracy.
If you're moving an OS from an older PC to a $500 pc, chances are you are not moving a Windows 7, or even Vista licenses, so you most likely will need to purchase the OS. Come on, we all know DIYers mostly pirate the OS. That's why they never ...
Didn't upset me at all. I take you at your word.
Gotta give credit where credit is due. The sheer audacity and creativity of PS3 love to suggest that fanboyism itself is proof of the PS3s popularity. Seriously, I tip my hat to you. That is all.
Wouldn't say I'm a hardcore fan, but I've been waiting a long time for a good F1 game. I don't like racing sims, but I love F1 racing. Codemasters can only hope there are more like me. I'm sure it will do better in Europe. F1 isn't that popular in America, Nascar is king here.
Given the ridiculous number of XBL vs. PSN/PS+ articles, I think this is relevant news for this site.
Absolutely. And, gamers do grow up and get lives. Then there is a need for games that let you get into them and enjoy them quicker.
Plus, FPS' are getting super stale.
