4. Dead Nation
5. Space Invaders Infinity
Taking so looong.
You're right about RROD and the accessory pricing. The HD and WiFi prices are over the top.
But you and others are wrong with regards to Live! It doesn't matter what other services do. Obviously those that pay the price of one game per year don't care. No other service is like Live! I just got my Elite repaired RROD and after about a year of going PS3 only, going back on Live is like going from the Stone Age (XMB-PSN) to outer space.
Unless you also need a Blu-ray player. Then it's a wash.
I appears you read the article and understand. Good Job +1.
Edit: I think the Arcade model with Wireless-N for $199 will offset some of that, especially when people realize they can add 32G of cheap USB storage (2 x 16).
80G of my 99G used on my Elite (got replacement unit back from repair in 10 days with 1 month Live! for the trouble) was movies which I don't buy anymore. I stream and download on PC. So, a 36G machine is more than enough for most, es...
All consoles fail. A friend who has sent their PS3 in for repair 4 times just bought a new one. Her old man was going to try and fix the dead blue diode but thought better of it.
The XBOX's was systemic and huge and lent itself to parody with the 3-rings.
To this day I get immersed into Castlevania: SOTN with its pixelated graphics and the best asteroids is still the old vector outline original.
Graphics do matter. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Shank is 2D and looks fantastic. Geometry wars look great. And of course, Uncharted 2 sets the standard for an entire genre and maybe generation. Yes, still, the single most graphically impressive video game experience would have to be Gears 1 for me.
But I wouldn't say one looks better than the other. Great graphics immerse you into "that" game. So yeah, they're important. Maybe a better quesio...
Go figure, I actually agree with most of what you said. I guess I haven't played it either.
This will be great for PSN. Come on already.
GOW is a button masher. Darksiders is the closest "rip-off" if you can rip-off a genre.
Edit: I think Heavenly Sword is the best of the genre but that's JMO.
This bit of news is embarassing.
The entire Walkman Brand
Sony created the market, now they're just a second rate after thought. Oh ATRAC.
Let's also not forget, except for high-end Bravia TVs, Sony is no longer associated with high quality in general in home theatre. They're like JVC now.
And Blu-ray, as it relates to gaming, how much pain has Blu-ray caused MS? FF XIII, pfft, who cares. MS won't have to even consider it this generation. With devs talking ab...
Heavenly Sword simply came too soon. Before it could be truly optimized. I believe Sony rushed it out given the hype.
I actually just purchased it again used (sold my original with fat PS3). Heavenly Sword needs trophies and some performance optimization but I believe it is the best game this generation, and is indicative of Sony's ability to fail with a superior product. They would have been better off rushing GOW III and taking their time with Heavenly Sword. I'd bu...
Don't really care about Move vs. Kinect, but:
>>I am sorry but this is a joke 4 gigs will not hold music on my PS3.<<
My entire music collection is 17G. But I only listen to about 1G. Most people don't have collections that large, all of mine are at high bit rate and many 7-10mins long (club mixes).
I also think that being able to add 2 cheap 16G USB storage media nullifies this point, whatever the point was.
That's $119 plus $80 wireless-n. I think I'll trade-in my Eliet 120 and see if I can live with an arcade with 36G flash storage. That'll be cheaper than buying an N adapter for the elite.
If she can take enough acting classes (seriously, it wan't exactly Angelina's best work given the cheesy scripts) and they peel away some of the makeup, I think she can pull it off. Angelina had the boobs but no azz.
Whever put the footage together edited the Crysis & Rage videos. There's something clearly muddy about them.
The KZ3 clips looks great. You won't be able to judge until final products are relased. Until then, they all look the same to me, like FPS'.
Given that all FPS' looke the same to me, Rage looks like the only one I would consider as it suggests some RPG elements.
I've been disappointed with the expansion tables so far, but I'll buy this one. I bought all the others. Sounds fun.
I'd like to see them bring over all the tables from PinballFX.
The game and DLC are XBLA downloads. It is also available on Steam for PC. Supposedly available for PSN this "fall."
