I think he farts a lot. He prefers the metal age to the dragon age and he thinks one should leave an epic quest to go back home to buy the wife a gift or she'll leave you.
When I see the words previw now, I automatically expect a vid.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this game.
For me, if I'm going to "have" to log-in to play a game, and give up personal information in an account database I want it to be in a "closed" service like XBL. That's just me.
I also don't like software than sometimes eats up CPU cycles until I have to close it and crashes and when I sign back in, I've lost all my progress in Torchlight. Could've been an app conflict, who knows. I don't have to worry about those things on a conso...
MS is making a ton of Cash on Avatar accessories. So, lots of people like it. I guess it's OK. It will be cool on Windows Phone 7 but, still, what a terrible waste of a once great developer. You can't tell me that "Rare" are the only ones who could do this Avatar work.
They both do what the wii does, in general, they just chose different methods of implementation. Both methods have been done before and both failed more than they succeeded. The only success has been the wii and that has died down (the motion frenzy part).
Actually all those things you mentioned were new and with the exception of 24p, pretty much are now desired standards.
3D is not new, been around since 50s. Only new ways to implement with better quality. The use and so far demand, has remained consistent thus far - niche.
It's not like 3D is new. Everytime it becomes popular at the Movies, everyone jumps on the bandwagon. It'll die down. It won't go away, but IMO it will remain niche for years to come.
Funny, fanboys crucified Ninja Theory for basically the same thing when they bacame able to develop for Xbox, now they're celebrating Bungie for saying the same thing because now they are free to develop for PS3. How old are we?
Anyway, +1
Oni was underrated, deserves a remake.
I'm sure they's celebrating in a lot grander fashion after XBox and Halo than they were with the defunct Marathon on Mac. Their bank accounts are probably significantly larger as well.
The sales had quite a bit to do with it don't you think? Now, why is there KillZone after Killzone, Uncharted after Uncharted, and Reistance after Resistance?
Bungie and Marathon were insignificant until Halo on Xbox. Sure, they've outgrownt he relationship but should not become ungrateful and forget what Microsoft did for them.
The only thing Steam ever had I was interested in was Torchlight. Who wants to sit in front of their PCs by themselves playing, "PC" games? I do work on my PC, I game on consoles.
There is no free service the quality of XBL. PSN nor anything available for free on the PC is high enough quality to pay for as far as an online service/community goes.
I'm not going to call these free services garbage, but they're not worth paying for. The qua...
It is a huge advantage to those that can't afford $40/yr for a paid service. You do get what you pay for.
I agree. Since I got my Xbox back, I haven't signed in to PSN for weeks. Partly because I mostly play XBL games now and because going from XBL to PSN is like stepping back several decades. I do love my Wipeout HD>
I only stream movies with Netflix or download on PC so I don't really even need a Hard Drive, just a couple 16GB Flash drives.
I had planned on getting Madden on PS but the demo was smoother on XBox so I don't know. I'm keepin...
Wow. People hack/mod machines because the manufacturer screws you over??? WTF? and MS does and Sony doesn't?
Good Lord. And as for being unhackable, there's a reason "install other OS" was removed.
@n4gno
Your logic makes no sense. Modded Xboxes are permanently banned for XBL.
@vess
I take you you feel the same about KZ 1-3, UC 1-3, Resistance 1-3, LBP 1-2, GT 1-5, etc., etc.
Come on ...
They made it niche by adding all the farting and personal growth elements that are really implemented at such a rudimentary level (see we said we'd put it in, so keep pressing "A" and make a baby,) that's it's meaningless.
Mixing "Ages" is also a mistake. Those who want Fantasy, don't want to cross into the musket Age. Either go Dungeons & Dragons or Pirates of the Carribean. One or the other.
Molneux is so arrogan...
Game like this are what has helped the Xbox fend off resolution and Blu-ray-itis. It's about the games. I love it, haven't co-op'd yet.
I think flower was just making fun of your typo in your first post in which you wrote 50/month instead of 50/yr.
