He prolly mentioned it because much of the "new" features are Kinect related. I'm not interested in Kinect for games, but uploading vids, the video chat, maybe one day. But not soon.
I like it as well. Minimalist, clean, easy to see info, FAST. I didn't have a problem with NXE before but this is clearly faster. Get first screen on games faster, and streaming DIVX begins streams faster.
Love the Netflix search, but I prefer the old netflix tiles. Can't have it all :/
eh, have you seen the snow in UC2? It is possible. It may not have been done yet, but of course it can be done. UC2 isn't "that" good. The overall presentation hasn't been matched though. Based on this video, neither Castlevania or Naughty Dog can do snow in HD yet.
I'm old school, I will keep a 360 for Geometry Wars 1, and it's the only place to play Magic The Gathering. I have limited time to play so I like XBLA. The games are really good. Pinball FX 2 is something I'm really looking forward to.
I have a 4G with 2 x 8G microSDs for 20G. I'm not going to be Happy if I can't install Castlevania on USB Storage but it wouldn't make me not recommend the console. I'll just be irritated. All the non-XBLA games I ...
I'll say one thing for PS3, it holds its value much better than Xbox. I just sold a 120G slim on eBay for $225, I had it for almost a year. Only lost $74 in value. I only got $130 for my 250 GB Elite, and that was with an overpriced Wireless-N adapter.
The games I play are on Xbox and I don't really like the PS3 community. Basically, you should buy whatever console has the games "you" like to play and the community you enjoy if you do the online social.
What game is that, I haven't seen the demo "exclusives."
I'd say demo gameplay 5/10 (I played UC2 and have enough jumping around all day. Also, don't like the glowing hints of where to jump next. Hopefully you can disable that. Terrible.)
Suprisingly, the story is quite good, I'd go 9/10 but need to understand why Steroid Monkey can leap across great chasms if he's a normal human and not genetically enhanced. They went waaaaay too far with the leaps. UC2 did too, but not as far as Enslaved goes.
I don't know. I think the main character models are in the same league as UC2. Muscles and skin are much harder to do than clothing textures on a typical dude raider body.
Some of the Post-Apocalyptic New York environments look as good or better than UC2 but none of that was in the Demo. I think Unreal Engine looks a little better on Xbox but until I see the actual game no questions can be answered. The Demo did provide enough answers for me to know I won't pay Day...
Absolutely no different from the people posting on this site, or PS3, Wii articles.
There is no party chat on a PC. There is not party Netflix on a PC. There is no closed community with avoidance on a PC. There is no meaningful gaming community on a PC. And what about people who can't afford a PC, or don't want their kids on a PC?
Obviously, anyone paying for Live! can afford it, and like what they get. You can get a McDouble for $1, I prefer the $7 Angus burger at a nearby tavern. You have your cheap, or even free McDouble, been there done that. ...
I belive Time warner "has" signed an agreement with Disney and it's customers will get ESPN3 with at no charge. It was Disney dictating the charges.
+1
I would use the term "disabled." but you will only be able to party chat with others that have the update. That's my understanding. You will only be able to party chat with other users who are running the preview. Must be using a new codec.
I had similar problems with my Samsung when I first went HDMI. It would just drop out. Samsung kept saying it was the Xbox. Finally, they replaced the mainboard (free of charge, love samsung) with new firmware in the TV and, poof, problem gone. I would see if that model of TV from Sony has a firmware upgrade.
They're easy to install from the USB port on the TV.
I always though NXEs speed was it's biggest feature. What's slow for you? I'm at 1080p and have never had a problem. Just curious.
Ninja Theory just tried to do too much. They had to reduce the particles in Nariko's hair. They tried to make foreground and background characters excellent, and they succeeded. But there were frame rate issues.
They should have done what UC2 did, focus on the foreground characters like anyone playing a game does. Other than the main character model and some of the environments, most of UC2 is average. That's the trick. Make sure everything a player would be focusin...
I'm not terribly impressed with the list of games you mentioned, it's all personal preference in a general sense, I do agree about Enslaved. The demo was quite underwhelming, especially on PS3 (thanks to the Unreal Engine).
I want to like it. There were no performance issues on Xbox and it looks good enough. But, there's one thing that prevents me from getting immersed and I don't know if the story explains it.
I can buy 160lb. to 175lb., ...
My first ever pre-order. I hope it allows install to USB Flash to avoid disk swapping on 4G 360S.
Out of their fanboy asses.
Try opening an XBLA game if you have one. I didn't have it but when I launched an XBLA game I got prompted for the mandatory system update.
