These threads and articles are getting real lame now. How about, if you have nothing to write about, just read what others write and comment.
Edit: Oh wait, I forgot, fanboys will keep approving these. Nevermind. Maybe they could go in a special sections we wouldn't ever have to see the headlines.
Multplats look better and perform better in general on Xbox. It's not because of the PS3 hardware but it is Sony's fault. Developers want to be multiplatform. MS chooses not to do so many 1st party exclusives now so they won't be so anticompetitive with developers.
They have great development tools and can go from Xbox to PC and now to Windows Phone 7 with ease.
Sony is responsible for the development environment for the PS3. Of course, they...
If you don't have an HDTV, you don't need more than a PS2 or Xbox 1, except to play games unavailable on the old consoles.
I've been playing PC games since Choplifter and Zork I on Apple II. Technically, consoles cannot compare, but visually and in motion, sure they can. You cannot come close to the console gaming experience on a PC for anywhere close to $300.
And you're most likely going to be alone on a monitor or laptop with no decent gamepad unless you use the Xbox wireless and adapter.
If you're a geek playing pixels alone, PC is the way to go. You want to ac...
Unfortunately the demo is not B+/A+. Hopefully after release we'll get real feedback on it here on N4G.
1 & 2 are true of all pseudo action/platform 3rd person titles. Including the UC series. I would take points off the platforming for flashing the destination (don't know if this can be disabled in the final)
3) Did you play Xbox or PS3 demo?
I was unimpressed with the demo in general, other than the voice acting was again top notch, but most of the great environments I've seen in trailers were simply not present in the Demo.
I doubt it. Resistance and KZ really are not competition for Gears. Personal preferences aside, Gears has no direct competition.
Most likely they don't want Brink and Crysis 2 to be diminished by releasing in the same time frame as Gears. Brink is currently bein advertised on XBL.
There was no demo on the 360.
And that YouTube of the PS3 demo, there's no way anyone could believe the final would run like that on the PS3, and no reviewer worth their salt would believe that was final code. If it is, it will be a disaster.
I never had a problem with the speed of the NXE, but to say the new beta is the same when connected to live, I would say you have Internet connection problems. The dash on live or not, is significantly faster. Not only that, all my game load to first screen noticeably faster. I have a 4G 360S.
Re: Avatar, not a big deal. Most likely with the release you will be able to use them. When you edit avatar a conversion takes place and tells you avatar has changed. If this is a bi...
Pre-ordered Castlevania.
Still not sure about this one but with 8/10s coming in, I'm going to pick this one up just to thank Ninja Theory for Heavenly Sword. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.
That just makes absolutely no sense man. None.
You have qualified it by adding a keyboard and mouse, and the emergency backup tag.
If it's there, why not. But it's not really snobbishness, more defensiveness. It's most silly to attempt to put down a game console for not having a web browser. There are as many reasons not to have it, as there are too have it.
If it's there and you find it useable, fine. I think popular web apps should be applicaitons on consoles, such as the facebook, l...
Is he that far off? That's basically what a button masher is. You have to deviate from button mashing and be creative with combos and transitions. I thought Heavenly Sword did this better than any button mashers. Mash through this to pull lever to get to next level gets old no matter how good the graphics look. Look for sparkly thing, mash and aim for that to move forward. It is what it is.
I'm hoping LOS breaks up the monotony with more than lever tricks. The horse...
You do realize you need to install one of the LOS discs on the 360 or you'll have to swap every time you backtrack right? I'm not going to be happy if it won't install on USB storage.
R U Serious? You know what, you win.
I'm with you on not using a browser on a console, but I don't think having one is going to prevent content from coming to online services. Doesn't seem to be stopping Hulu.
Maybe they don't want Trent Antivirus for XBox, like Trend Antivirus for PS3. Anything with a web browser is inherently insecure. Whether or not it actually gets exploited is another matter. I've owned a fat and slim PS3 and have never, ever launched the browser. I think a browser on a game console is silly and stupid. I have a computer, my career is in IT, and maybe that's why I can't see how anyone could seriously consider browsing the web on a game console with a gamepad. ...
@cornelius
Doesn't really have anything to do with Xbox. This is already happening between the content provider and ISPs. If anything, MS adding it to Xbox put pressure on Disney to stop charging ISPs a premium regardless of whether or not their subscribers accessed it.
UC2 has no snow, and from the looks of it neither does Castlevania. Why would I go looking for snow, when I have UC2 and that Castlevania clip. Finding other snow isn't going to change the fact that snow in both are masses of white pixels and nothing like snow.
I take it this article is a result of Move not setting the world on fire. Oh, well I can't say I disagree. It will fail with many. Casuals will eat it up and there's a LOT of them. I guess I'm casual since I only have time to play on weekends and don't buy every new game that comes out. But I don't want it. All motion games are silly to me. However, more than enough Casuals will buy it and MS is marketing right at them. I think it will be significantly more successful than...
