@SirBradders - buy your woman some sexy underwear for x-mas. Then once she opens it, ask her to slip into it in the bedroom. Voila, you now have something to unwrap yourself on x-mas day, problem solved.
I'm finally getting to the end of platinuming hot shots golf so think this will be a good game to get into going by all the reviews. I loved the LBP games and think innovative titles like this deserve good support from us gamers
Post me a link. I've seen stories of Sony are listening to feedback and would consider it for future updates, but mp3/dnla/external HD support has not been confirmed for any future update
@gillri surely you haven't played Red Dead Redemption or the two Batman games then, they are pure gold open world games
It will be doing battle with my PS3 for the prime spot under my TV with its lack of media functions.
The PS3 will be well supported for a few years yet but the buzz around the PS4 will see them well through the holiday season
I hope Sony send him a free PS4, that would be a good PR stunt lol
Why so many disagrees for Quickdraw? He was asking a question for a start and everything he said in it was true. There's a stench of denial around this whole issue from some. I'm a huge Sony fan, but they have yet to confirm any update to address the mp3 issue, so stop with the bs Pintheshadows.
Just to add Quickdraw, you also can't plug external drives into or stream movies/music from other devices like you could with the ps3.
Saul, just to clarify, there isn't a lack of custom soundtracks now, that feature has been added. But if I have bought and paid for an album of music, I can't use that in my custom soundtracks unless I subscribe and pay money to access the music I've already paid for through their service.
Maybe if you try to grasp what the issue actually is, you would understand why people are upset about it, even if you're not.
Ma1n, you are seriously deluded, stop defending Sony on this issue until they finally admit it was a mistake and CONFIRM it will be added.
I'm a huge Sony fan, but this really is poor not being a launch feature. I'd already paid for my PS4 before news of this even appeared, so I feel a little cheated tbh
@Ma1nframe - or maybe it was the decidedly underhand tactics of pushing their music subscription service as the only way of playing music on the device that made his desire wane. Don't let your own Sony loving desires blind you to what is an (admittedly un Sony like) underhand tactic.
@Ryt no but it still played the majority of media files (bar mkv), ripped my cds direct to the harddrive and would accept external drives. It was a better all round media hub whilst also offering the best games and blu ray playback.
I can accept the no CD playback, that's been known for a while, but no external drives and mp3 playback is a joke
Haha jatakk, well put
It's still a downgrade from what the ps3 offered at launch. While they appear to have learned from all the things they done wrong last gen, they appear to be making an ass of all the things they done right too. Poor show Sony, looks like PS3 is still the console to have under your TV this holiday season
xHeavYx I'm considering selling my launch day model on, I'd cancel my pre order if it wasn't paid off already. It sure won't be replacing my PS3 under my tv going by what's being said.
Something had to be rotten in Denmark with all the good news the PS4 has been riding
It seems that where the PS3 was built around choice/numerous features and versitility, that focus seems to have been lost somewhere with the PS4
That's all well and good Rhaigun, but since we're talking about the PS4's media functionality (or lack of the more I'm hearing) this really is a backwards step from the PS3.
Have to agree with flunkinmonkey, even though I haven't made it to the end, it really has been a struggle going back to continue it as all the things I loved about GTA has gone, most importantly the fun factor.
This game is nothing compared with Red Dead Redemption, which by the way had a brilliant ending.
I must be missing something with this game, tried it over the weekend after getting it on PS+ and can't see what all the fuss is about. Very generic
Bummer, was looking forward to a free go of driveclub. Just need to decide what I'm going to buy alongside killzone. Not sure about another shooter (BF4) so think I'll grab a copy of AC:Black flag for variety now that watchdogs has been pushed back too.
This is definitely a backwards step, but I'd imagine Sony was under pressure from publishers to implement this
@Unborn - I paid £425 for my launch PS3 and have never felt I paid over the odds for it. The blu ray drive alone was worth the initial outlay.
People complain about the initial launch games available, but I was more than happy with motorstorm and Resistance to play, then COD (before it turned into the farce it is now) and uncharted dropped for it.
7 years later, I feel I got more than my moneys worth, which is why I'll be firing up my PS4 tomorrow
