Spoiler alert!!!
Does the article even mention the X box One?
I tried getting through it without reading any spoilers, it says there is another page to it but I never clicked. Such a poor headline for the article and didn't even include a spoiler alert.
You done yourself a disservice if you missed out on Motorstorm and UC in its first year
What about not buying their products, doesn't that make a stand against it. What has more effect on MS directly, not giving them your money for their products or making a you tube video about it.
Your delusional. And my comment to you about your selfishness was that you only considered yourself when you spouted your first nonsense posts. Try considering others.
Can we stop reading too much into what its called. Can you tell me one console that failed primarily down to its name?
What's in the console, what user experiences you can get from it, software support, quality, price and marketing are all the things you base an opinion of a console on, not its name.
Oh, and the business strategies behind the manufacturer sway me a little too
Educate us then rather than patronise. One is the way you would write the number 1 in text format. Nothing more.
If you honestly believe the s#@* your shovelling about implied meanings then MS have done their job on you already.
And their consumers/user base.
Its all about the controlling things
I'm not convinced I would be saying that
LOL, best analogy I've seen in weeks
I'm not buying it for the missus until she gets her finger out and finishes LBP 2 first.
Does look good though
Thanks (?) for the reply to my comment unholy without actually answering the main point I made. There are multiple ways to skin any cat. My proposal to reduce prices of any digital version of the game was one way game publishers could combat used games.
If you maybe try to understand the reason some people cant afford new games all the time like you, or have friends that share games to reduce financial burden it would help. Or here's another; the game is simply not worth...
Selfishness gets you nowhere Qwark, just because it doesn't affect you now, think of the repurcussions for the future. What age are you. Will you have kids in the future that this could affect. try looking at the bigger picture rather than your own little bubble.
And you liking DRM to downloadable games is incorrect too
@Cherez - If your principles are strong enough and you believe in the power of the people (it does work at times, honest), then people can still vote with their wallet. Games are not a nessecity to get through each day, just better than the amount of crap shovelled our way via TV.
But only through sticking together can we keep it at bay. My fear is with MS strong advertising, lack of principles around nowadays and the sheer number of fanboys who will defend this kind of stuff...
No he wasn't. He just picked the Halo franchise because it was the biggest X Box exclusive. He could have picked GeoW or Forza, but as a single figurehead with a gun, he picked master chief since it fitted his rather lame advertising scenario (sorry Thomaticus)
Get over yourself liquid
But Sony have already stated their position so why keep bringing it up like they have been tight lipped about it.
What they have said is that third part games may introduce their own DRM. If that's the case, then make the stand against the games because the hardware isn't forcing it on you.
@ABizzel - I made similar points in another post in this thread but with prices more like Steam. A digital only copy should be £10 versus the physical copy. For only a 10 or 20% discount, I would rather pay the full price so I could lend my game to friends or sell it later.
At £10, more people would impulse buy it, and if any good, word of mouth and internet buzz about good games will roll into further sales. Speculate to accumulate and all that
LOL, so you dream of a Utopian world one day too. If only.
+Bubbles for the good suggestion/funny comment
@ Unholy - Unless you open your mind up to the fact that part of the problem is the game costing £40 or £50 in the first place. Oh, and that's before they sell you three lots of DLC to make up the final product.
One way to combat it would be to release the game for £10 as a digital title on PSN/X Box Live. £10 is so much easier to consider forking out for a game. There are no disc production or distribution costs. You cant lend it to your friends, you ...
Probably the best thread of comments I have ever read on N4G. No in fighting about X Boxes or Playstations. All passionate comments about people defending a hobby they love from the biggest nickel and dime companies trying to squeeze too much from them.
Kudos to you all
What's your point Surg, would you disagree the Sony offers stellar support for the PS3?
Try looking at all the titles they do deliver rather than the few games that get plagued with delays or get cancelled
Well they done the same with their previous consoles so it really shouldnt come as a surprise.
Likewise, MS dropping support (of the level Sony provide) before they even get their next system out has happened twice too
