I know it's anecdotal, but all my friends who used to by a large variety of games last gen now spend 95% of their gaming time on MP and it's always sports and a shooter (mostly COD and BF3, some Halo and Gears). None play more than one shooter online either, they have their favourite and stick with it.
My brother and his friends are the same way, these guys are getting over 300 hrs out of a game and have no interest in anything else. I lent my friend the entire Unc...
It's not the economy, it's MP. The majority of people buy their favourite shooter(s) and sports game and log hundreds of hours into MP until the next years iteration comes out. They only take a risk on something different if it's hyped enough and this gen is so old that few games generate a lot of excitement for the average gamer.
The dominance of MP established this gen is going to destroy or seriously alter gaming. People don't buy many games because they&...
BFBC2 was much better than BF3 in terms of gunplay imo...at least on my PS3.
I also loved how everything in BFBC2 was destructible unlike BF3 where most of the map isn't so the game could have better graphics.
BF3 sacrificed a lot in the gameplay department so it could look better which is a mistake, even the aiming lag was due to AA apparently.
I don't know what Nintendo did to 3rd parties but Wii U have very little 3rd party support.
Not at all, not even top 5.
Well at least they tried...
After Killzone 3, my Move hasn't been used for more than 3 minutes.
Another fabricated issue crafted just to generate hits.
Too Human.
If you take out MP and co-op and just focus on single player a game like Dead Space shouldn't cost that much to make; a million sales should cover it is devs get 20-30$ off each sale.
I bought Dead Space 2 and never even tried the MP, I don't think people buy games like Dead Space for co-op on competitive MP.
Yeah, and obviously Sony didn't give it a AAA budget.
Although I probably like my PS3 more than my 360 I must commend MS for always innovating. Without MS, PS3 wouldn't have trophies and the PSN would be far more basic. MS does tend to lead the pack in the console arena.
I have Move but I'm not spending any more money on it, it's a failed device and Sony's afterthought.
Move had great potential but Sorcery is too little too late.
If you want to hear an amazing sniper rifle sound play Crysis 1.
I really enjoyed Max Payne 3 but the aiming was off and the I was let down a bit by the gun play. I'd give it 8.5/10.
There is so much rape in movies and TV shows but no one says anything and it's often sexualized. If people care so much about rape, maybe they should try and do something about all the rape that happens in the real world not fictional possible allusions to the possibility of rape in a videogame that isn't at all sexualized.
There are dozens of gang rapes every month in the street of India, girls are getting date raped all over the western world and people are up in a...
Power is in 3rd party support, and first party exclusives. Nintendo has no real 3rd party support.
Is that a dick-man?
I was wondering why a Lollipop Chainsaw story was so popular.....that was well worth the click.
I don't think Nintendo is in a position to comment on graphical leaps.
Suface looks amazing and I love the way MS is making tablets more like full fledged PCs but I think MS needs to make it's own Win 8 phone as well.
People want full product synergy between their phones and tablets to the extent that I think a person with an iPhone would rather a Apple tablet simply because they're made for each other.
