Playstation changed the popular image of videogames from kids playing with their sega/nintendo "toys" or fat lonely nerds in front of their computers into an acceptable mature (or at least not immature) form of entertainment.
I'm not saying that sega/nintendo were kids toys or PC gamers are fat lonely nerds (I'm building a gaming PC ASAP), just that society, or mostly girls and old people, thought about gaming that way.
She looks timid and naive now for some reason which definitely is the opposite of Laura Croft.
She looks too sweet, innocent, naive and at a bit timid. This is Laura Croft, she's supposed to be fearless, sharp, sophisticated and take no nonsense.
I enjoyed the trailer, it was unique and kept my attention and the nun assassins were sexy. The fact that sexy nun assassins can exist in a medium makes videogames so much fun, there no limits.
Sure it's not The Great Gatsby but it's not supposed to be. Games pretty much are sports, violence or puzzles. If they were all good looking priests would people be offended probably not, and why is no one finds it sexist that half of game character are good looking males wi...
I agree with all the points but the gore, I like gore. I would add that GTA5 doesn't carry over MAx Payne 3s loose aiming - I played using free aim and it aimed as if he was almost drunk, although I understand that if people could aim easily they'd never need to slow down time and use bullet dodge.
Know wonder Crytek never fixed Crysis 2s grain glitch. I can see Sony doing what MS did to get to the top, catering to 3rd parties.
I care more about how much profit the 360 made over it's lifespan, why didn't they reveal that as that's what really matters for a corp right.
In Canada PSN video rentals are much cheaper than on Live and Netflix is better on PS3 due to the instant fast forward and rewind (seems minor but it's so much more convenient to skip directly to point you want).
Also, just to load up the Netflix app on 360 takes so much longer now with the new dashboard that it's faster for me to turn off my 360 and turn on my PS3 just to watch netflix. 360s new dash is slow for apps.
In terms of video rentals th...
If the same game was 20 dollars cheaper because it had ads during the loading screens I buy the ad version.
The only reason I continue to pay for gold is because I already have a generation long game library - all my friends already switched to PS3 when their 360s broke.
When the next-gen starts I won't need two consoles so if PSN remains free (and Sony redesigns their controller) and MS charges bye bye MS.
I respect that Epic is trying to 'persuade' Sony and MS to release very powerful hardware but this seems like an empty threat. Cry Engine and Frostbite are all ready for next-gen already, Epic won't just give away the middleware market simply because Sony and MS wanted to release mid-level hardware.
Isn't 20x faster than Wii only twice as powerful as PS3/360 if both of those were 10x more powerful than Wii...I could be wrong, math wasn't my greatest subject.
I'm unhappy a-holes spammed who the killer was all over the internet forums and comment sections randomly and ruined the game for me before I had a chance to buy it.
Seriously, I was looking at a review for an unrelated game and all I see in all caps is the identity of the killer. Sometimes I hate people.
I like gaming ads but not the rest. If all the 'ads' were game previews and video reviews it would be great.
Square Published Deus Ex HR and that's one of my favourite games this gen so maybe it's possible.
The only time I want to punch online MP in the throat is when it lags badly or how despite playing objective games, most of my team mates only care about their k/d ratio... In fact, I'm starting to think a lot of players only choose objective games because it's easier to camp and get easy kills because you know exactly where the other team is heading (to the objective or thereabouts).
I had one game where a guy was pissed I armed the bomb and won because he wanted to ...
Either the Wii U has current gen hardware or the devs are too lazy to utilize Wii U's additional power...
I hate when that happens lol
The #1 thing killing the gaming industry is the common gamer!
They are the people that put MP first and think that if they won't log hundreds of hours into MP a game isn't worth buying and who only buy 2-3 games a year and every year it's the sequel to their favourite shooters/sports games.
They only buy what they've boughten before and maybe what is extremely hyped on the odd occasion. Sadly they represent the majority of game sales thus the...
Apple and Wii U aren't in the same market. Simply having a tablet controller doesn't put you in the tablet market.
