They're not stupid enough to pay extra for game and app access.
What a surprise, Sony releasing another amazing product then giving it underwhelming support.
I don't know what goes on over there at Sony, just the fact that a multibillion dollar tech company can't create a decent web browser speaks volumes.
People who think that's a deal are idiots, at most it's the same price and locks you into a two year contract with MS with all the bad things contracts may bring.
Good luck with that, yesterday I tried watching Netflix at my GF house on her brothers 360 but couldn't because he stopped paying for Live. Ended up using the PS3 for my "entertainment" instead.
Paid subscriptions are going to ruin Xbox, at least in Canada it seems the popular consensus is that 360 is a rip off.
While I don't own a Wii, you can't criticize Wii owners for only playing Mario and Zelda games when the majority of PS3/360 owners only play COD and the current years sports game.
I'm surprised it's not earlier.
Impressive and at the same time strange how under-utilized PC graphics cards are currently.
Generally, I think Western devs' stories are more like comic books, Japanese devs' stories are more like saturday morning cartoons with equally bad acting.
Neither one is often mature, if I had to hazard a guess maybe 5%-10% of game storylines/premises aren't immature.
It will be interesting to see if he can turn Sony around.
COD sales were doing pretty well last time I checked, eventually it may go the way of Guitar Hero but COD fans are less fickle than the very casual Wii and GH fans.
But nothing stays on top forever.
If I were Jaffe, I would say I was too much of a pussy to make a AAA game.
Isn't Crytek (an experienced shooter maker) making a high quality F2P shooter too, wouldn't the F2P crowd prefer that over a browser game.
I still find it hard to believe LE was real time. It looks like good CG, while UE4 and even the Samaritan demo still looked like a game.
Also, if it was real time, what type of hardware is required to run it.
Is it just me or do other people think Nintendo is handling this wrong, the price and release date should be the first things they inform potential customers about.
It's silly that they're completely avoiding the price question.
Move is a failure, shame because it had a lot of gaming potential.
I still think it's faster and way more accurate for FPS games when implemented properly but Sony's support (like a surprising number of there products) was half-assed.
If MS released Move I think motion gaming could have gone somewhere, they at least give things a hundred percent support (and at least a hundred million dollars).
I got The Darnkess II for really cheap and it was surprisingly fun and empowering, so much so that I played it over back to back - best purchase in a while.
Unreal 4 didn't impress me much, Luminous Engine blew me away.
I think a some of Japanses devs need to rethink how they organize the development of AAA games. It takes them forever to make them or an insane amount of money, look at GT5 and Last Guardian for example.
Not saying the same never occurs in the west (Duke Nukem) but 3 Gears, 4 Halo's, 4 Forza's, 4 Assassins Creed, 3 Uncharted, Two Infamous, 3 COD each studio, 3 Mass Effects - the list goes on and each games (maybe with the exception of COD) seemed long enough and diff...
I hate when previews spend 90% describing the events of the level/mission and 10% describing the gameplay - it should be the other way around.
I only care how it plays, runs and looks. A preview should be an initial review not a exercise in story telling.
So no voice commands....still not sure why MS put a camera on Kinect when the only games it works with besides Dance Central only use the microphone.
Why was this approved, why do I even visit n4g anymore?
