The reason why Microsoft extended the warranty to 3 years (only covers specific types of failures) is because there was a fundamental flaw in the design of the product and they were trying to avoid a class action lawsuit.

what I've been saying for a long time ... that Microsoft has been bribing japanese developers to produce games that, if not for Microsoft's payments, would never have been made for the 360.

If you noticed an improvement in your download speed, it could be for a lot of reasons but it's almost certainly not because your new router is n rather than g.
