I'd be watching Netflix on my Wii right now.
No other developer can get away with what Microsoft has pulled off with ODST. Superb.
Sorry to hear that you have such low standards.
If you're the typical customer, then, perhaps that's why the Forza series isn't really taken seriously.
I know I can't put out a shoddy product for my customers and expect to find more work. Microsoft's really onto something here!
youre saying that:
1) Cars should be visibly brighter inside a dark tunnel than in direct sunlight
2) Shadows cast by objects don't have to match up with the objects casting them
3) Many different locations in the world have the same identical colorfully textured rocks (intelligent design?).
4) Mario and Halo are what sims should look like
1) Major bug: Most of what's in the tunnel should be shadowed but the moment the white car in front enters the tunnel it lights up like a christmas tree as if the wall on the right simply isn't there. Even the left of the car is bright. What's worse, the interior of the car being driven lights up as well. Apart from the shading inconsistencies on the interior (A-pillar, dash, visor, all light up with differing intentities in a way that doesnt make sense,ie., indirect lighting wouldn't caus...
Because Sony doesn't change their strategy on a week to week basis.
In fact, if you look at what Sony said at launch, apart from the motion controller thing that resulted from that lawsuit, they really haven't changed their strategy at all. Even the upcoming Wii-like wand is inspired by some PS2 era patents.
The flipside of consistency is inflexibility and that resulted in Sony not responding soon enough to the Wii's success. While the PS3 was always going to beat ...
won't make it seem like more of a low quality product than consumers already think it is. There's a reason why the PS3, despite the much higher retail price, has had higher average sales than the 360 ever since it was released in 2006.
The reason 360 owners marvel at the PS3 in your house is because the PS3 really is a higher quality machine. Its more powerful, vastly greater fuctionality (360's doesnt even have a web browser), looks more expensive, feels more expensive, and is...
Turn10 had 360 Devkits a whole year BEFORE Polyphony Digital received PS3 Devkits.
Despite that Forza 3 has half the cars. What's more, after you've already paid $60 for 400 cars, they want to charge you $60 extra for an additional 140 cars.
If you like that deal, I've got a really nice bridge in Brooklyn ...
They're getting rid of their current Elites to make way for a 250GB unit. They're just clearing out inventory the same way Sony cleared out inventory before releasing the Slim.
complaining that it's the same game is utterly stupid since it's running on a different platform.
Stupid review. Score, 4/5 is a good score. I think they gave the Xbox360 version the same score. Scores aside, although they complained that it's basically the same game, the flip side of that screw-up is that they failed to mention how much the game has been improved.

Lighting, effects, textures, and massive resolution boost as well. Quite impressive upgrade for a game that was originally made on the 360.
Some people can't be convinced no matter how much evidence one presents because they are either paid guerrilla marketers for Microsoft (yeah, they do exist and it's big money) or they are the same fanboys (using different usernames) who ranted that Forza 2 looked better than GT5 Prologue.
So, in essence, with some people, it's just not worth the effort.
is that, unfortunately, they are never judged on their own merits. I have difficulty believing that this game deserves such a low score.
Tribute videos are really highly focused opportunities to show off your game, even more so than trailers, which are meant more for flash and excitement.
Simply ask yourself questions such as:
Which showed more detail close-ups
Which had a broader array of lighting situations
Which showed off it's physics
etc..
This should give you an idea of which developer is more confident in demonstrating the capabilities of their engine.
Either MS goons or some fanboy with 4 accounts. Funny either way.
... that's not in-game.
In game starts at 13 seconds into that video where there's a dramatic change in the models and the rendering quality. That image is from a part of the sequence that's not in-game.
Again, maybe you were confused and did it without realizing and your explanation for the bizarre resolution makes more sense (ie, you did a screen capture from a video on your PC) but it's simply not an in-game shot. The image posted is basically like a replay c...
stop embarrasing yourself by trying to come up with bizarre explanations. It's fake. It's obvious. Let's move on.
There's nothing to gain by posting fake shots since everyone, including Turn 10 (check out the interview videos), already knows that GT5 Prologue and GT5 have better graphics.
If you want to convince people that Forza 3 is a better game, then focus things it does well like decals or community features.
Ok, we believe you.
That must be a real "gameplay" image, after all, everyone knows Forza 3 renders at 1440x900, and how silly we were to doubt that Forza 3 has 16x anti-aliasing and true HDR* despite the fact that the hardware was not designed to handle either in real games.
Seriously, either the MS Guerrila marketers are out in force.
*Halo 3 and ODST do have HDR but since the hardware does not natively output HDR they did it via software, ie...
Gameplay ratings are typically based on personal preference and meaningless (for example many people would give God of War 10 but I would give it 5) but technical measures like audio and video are pretty cut and dry.
Visuals getting 10 is fine. Audio getting 7 is just bizarre. Is it really so mediocre?
<<@MNicholas
the PS2 dont need a sales push the PS3 dose
it already sold 150 million + and going up<>
It's not about what the PS2 needs it's about selling more hardware and making more money. To grossly oversimplify, the Wii took 50 Million sales that a revised PS2 could have had. The Wii, afterall, is just a revised GameCube.
