What about it being a mobile game makes it a waste of time and talent exactly?
If its successful it'll likely get a Vita port, like chaos rings did - in the meantime it makes sense to release where they'll make more money, and where the bigger player-base is.
Hopefully it'll come West too. It would probably do well if it did.
I have no problem with mobile games. They can happily coexist alongside console ones. Chaos Rings was decent and the iPad version of FFT was great.
They wouldn't be making the game for mobile if they didn't think it would sell there, so the angst that its not coming to whatever platform you'd prefer is misguided. Why shouldn't mobile get good games too?
This looks like one of those things where perhaps some users are holding it in ways Sony may not have planned for. There should be no friction/rubbing on one side/corner of the sticks unless you do some seriously weird stick manipulation.
Its like people who complain their thumbs hit each other on the DS3.. HOW? Just hold it correctly and that doesn't happen.
.. Maybe they should sell the Xbox division to Sega.
That would be some great Karma.
..
Seriously though, spinning off the Xbox division into a separate company doesn't sound like too bad an idea - I tend to think if anything the Xbox is held back by MS's baggage more than in benefits from it.
On XBL or whatever it's generally difficult for them to work out who you are, but almost everywhere else people can and do trace you if you get on the wrong side of the wrong person.
I agree though, but i don't think random abuse is as bad as targeted and personal abuse - which sadly is a pretty big thing. People get cyberbullied by the "friends" they know from school etc. It's a bit of a mess.
Cyber bullies often can work out where you live and other contact and family details. A lot of the time they can threaten to seriously interfere with your real world life. There've been loads of cases where 4chan (or other forum mobs) have ended up repeatedly phoning the family and harassing the children of the person they have a disagreement with.
Or ordering them loads of pizzas. Or calling SWAT teams on them (lol)

HE LIKES ALMOST EVERYTHING. Just because he's positive about MS stuff sometimes doesn't make him a fanboy.

He's not a Microsoft shill, he just gets enthusiastic about everything.
I missed COD at the time and finally got around to playing it last year. Without any of the nostalgia or anything, it seemed pretty bland. Well.. Very bland tbh. The single player wasnt particularly memorable. I don't really get it.
FPS ive enjoyed more than, and thought objectively better than COD4s sp:
Stalker, Far Cry, Bioshock (all of them), Metro, crysis (1), Killzone2, Halo (all of them) Obviously HL2

@Jeedai Infidel - me too! I loved the DC.
But the Amiga had such a long run, i pretty much grew up with it through some formative years. You get invested in a platform for gaming, creativity and work (and early internet usage) only to have the whole thing die underneath you.. You hold on as long as possible, but end up needing new software. Nobody at the Amiga's peak thought it was going to collapse - it was doing so stupidly well. For years.
Makes me cr...
@ruefrak - There's merit in all sports teams, that's not the point I was attempting to make.
What's wrong with being a die-hard fan of the platform you choose? Nothing if it doesn't make you into an idiot. Dismissing everything every platform other than yours has to offer is STUPID. You don't have to play the games personally to appreciate them. You don't even have to like them - to vocally call everything that isn't on your favourite console shit...
BUT WHAT RESOLUTION IS IT RUNNING AT?!
... Jk
This looks amazing. Totally day 1.
I had someone argue the same "better gameplay" case at me a couple of days ago, but they werent talking about the WiiU - they were talking about the Ouya. (Lol)
Make of that what you will.
Scorpion exists in a setting where he's constantly getting disemboweled, decapitated and set on fire by everyone he comes into contact with. (Sucks to be in MK!)
The white ranger has a better track record of not being mutilated to death?
The funny part about all this is the info is out there. Big sites aren't afraid to mention the performance difference a lot of the time. (Maybe not IGN etc, but Kotaku and co have been critical of the spec issue.) It must be awkward having to cover both sides at the moment with everyone analysing every word and polarising everything.
The NDAs aren't working very well.
Its a very different market to 2006 though, companies are being much more aggressive...
.. I'm surprised how many ex-amiga users there are here tbh.
We earned our fanboy stripes on a wholly different battleground, a long time ago.
The feeling when the Dreamcast's plug was pulled was nothing compared to the downfall of the Amiga. So much hope. So much creativity. So much futuretech and great ideas wiped out by bad management and the unending army of office PCs.
(Distant fanfare plays in the background)
Just wait while PA get painted as MS shills for saying something positive about X1.
Im actually hoping K2 gets good support and games. At least it would make the thing worthwhile - being forced to have a camera with decent games is a lot better than being forced to buy one with terrible games.
.. Still not buying though. ;)
Although the console wars are funny, theres a big difference between the games industry and sports..
In sports there are winners and losers. In this industry there is always work of merit on every side. The "winning" and losing states are moved by fanboys depending on the situation and what makes their platform of choice look the best. Graphics/metacritic/gameplay/o nline/sales - you can always be the winner if you pick your own criteria. So can your opponent.
Agreed, we need a lot more moderatism. People are going pretty insane.
Why? A lot of people seem to share this sentiment, but why?
"No buttons" isn't a good argument, btw. If mobile is where a lot of the portable money is to be made, and where most of the players are, whats so terrible about making mobile games?
