Its not heavy as a controller held normally, it's heavy if you hold it up in a gun orientation for any length of time. So is pretty much anything. I have no problem with the gamepad in normal use, its nice.
Its little to do with actual weight. Just holding one's arm out straight for long periods is humanly impossible, holding things up for long periods will fatigue anyone. Painters take breaks and they're holding brushes and rollers - they have the benefit of a l...
Surely mounting a wiiu control pad on a gun like that is just going to get heavy and annoying after a short time?
Not sure this would get past testing for that reason. Also, it doesn't have full spacial tracking so its not like it could allow you to rotate 360 and reflect that on screen properly, so it's not getting near VR levels of awesome.
It could be funny to use the screen as a scope view when pointed at the TV though, if a bit pointless. :D
You have a different definition for "bullying" obviously. That isn't bullying - mean, innacurate possibly, but it's really easy to see how someone could feel like that.
Sensationalistic can get people talking. It's possible to be over sensitive to stuff like this.
Play on xbox live and try coming away thinking the community isn't toxic "at large" - or even LoL on the windows side (if you're new particularly). Or the peo...
Lol, we'll get disagrees but i'll second that. 8.1 is fine for games. You can set it to bypass metro completely on boot too, so that particular issue is no big deal.
I never had W7 or W8 problems really. Both work great.
I'll still tinker with steamos once it has AMD support though, see if any of my games run better there. I doubt ill ever be able to ditch windows, but who knows?
Probably because most games don't have linux/steamos support. That would be my guess anyway!
Errm.. He's really clear about there being a positive populatuon in gaming and is encouraging them to speak up. This is just the most recent example, but stuff like this (and worse than this) happens continuously.
The problem is that its a very loud group of toxic, hate spewing ignoramuses who get seen and read everywhere that gaming discussion is allowed. It happens here, it happens at ign, kotaku, eurogamer, everywhere.
The reasonable people need to spe...
I agree with this review.. Its very weird but the personality tests are addictive and the weiting is great. Super cute game.
Not exactly what i'll load up to show off the PS4 but i hope we get more weird stuff like this anyway.
I'd play that.
I'd also like to play a game where the US goes so far right that it kicks off another civil war, and Europe (and co) intervenes to help out the less facist side. Lol.
That game would cause so many people to get upset, but as speculative fiction it'd be a hell of a lot more interesting than. "Omg the Russians and muslims are going to get us! (And Mexicans?)"
This was the best thing for me by some margin.. Followed by The Witcher 3, but that's no surprise. This came from nowhere and I can't wait to see more about it!
I've noticed them ramping things up a little already. I got my first set of "prove you have permission to show this material!" Emails...
... It was footage of a game *I* made! I've hardly ever had monetisation questioned of other gameplay videos! seemed pretty funny. How did that even get flagged? It was obviously a dev video too. Bizarre.
Bloggers don't usually claim to be journalists. Columnists usually don't either.
Not without breaking your warranty.
Also technology moves on regardless of what the console makers are doing. It's crazy to think hdds and better online weren't inevitable. The first to the post isn't necessarily being innovative - just reacting to changing tech around them.
People act like we wouldn't have analogue, motion controls and we'd still be using cartridges if Sony/Nintendo/whoever hadn't done it first. Nonsense. Someone else...
Because there's something wrong with it? Mine hardly makes any noise at the craziest parts of KZ. Normal amounts of fan noise. It's not even slightly loud. Quieter than the PS3 Slim.
There'll be new blood soon enough. I guess thats one of the plussed of still having some of these ancient presenters around.. They retire/die eventually.
Paxman is legendary. :D
Haha i love Brooker.
I can totally understand Snow too though, he's of a generation that's often like this working in an industry that always concentrates on the negative and knee-jerk reactions to games. I think he was purposely hamming it up there to cause brooker to have to argue.
Yeah he's being hugely dismissive, but I've spoken to people like him and they can be brought round, they just don't want to outwardly appear to "get&qu...
Holy way to misread an article, guys!
If you even did read it. >.<
Both consoles are going to get much nicer dev tools over time that give much better and easier access to the hardware. There is no way the X1 could possibly end up technically *ahead* from this, but it's definitely going to be a lot better than it is on day one. Like every. damned. hardware. generation.
If i have drawn a drawing i "drew it" not "drawed it."
Drawed isn't a word.
If the content ends up in other players stuff a temp ban makes sense, its selling to kids. Best not to fill it with dongs.
Theres a pretty good precedent for banning inanimate objects because of their potential to do harm in the wrong hands.
Nobody has ever proven a correlation between games and violence/ability to cause violence. Games are harmless, basically. As an object i guess you could give someone a black eye if you threw a box at them. Lol.
The same can't be said of guns.
Chemical and nuclear weapons are often inanimate objects too. ;) i really don...
Donkeywalrus - of COURSE question them all, but don't throw out common sense in the process. When you're talking about events where people have died, leaving mourning families - there is no space for people who denied the events even having taken place. (These people exist)
Most of the time the simplest answer is the truth. Some conspiracy theories hinge on so many unlikely details and presuppositions that they collapse under their own weight.

Few people looking for realism in their shooters A) bought a WiiU and b) Would want a gun mounted gamepad. Hardly realistic with a huge front-weighted scope is it?
The wii zapper and the PS sharpshooter are both more logical really.
