They definitely could have done more to show the effect of the chimera's spread. Far too much was plot dumped in, and other than notes, radios etc you didnt get much of A feeling for the population having to deal with it. In the cutscenes where they mention the wall set up so we had no idea what was happening in eastern europe and Russia - the build up and the early encounters must've been some of the most interesting parts of the lore - and they aren't even in the games.

I don't have much overlap with Fahey's choices either, but a load of the kotaku staff have done these lists, and i have more in common with some of them.
They kind of had to change what Lara is, as she was pretty out of sync with modern sensibilities when it comes to character, design and the target audience. I think they did exactly what they needed to make a foundation where future instalments wont end up being too cornball.
Shes obviously building up to traditional badass Lara in the reboot but even then she'll likely be a much better developed character than OS Lara ever was.
The only thing i REALLY liked about this VGX was the No Man's Sky reveal. That was unexpected and pretty epic.
Otherwise it was long, drawn out and cringeworthy. It was terrible but really compelling.. Sort of. Maybe im just a masochist? "I like potatoes!"
I've never seen anything this inept and the idea of watching to see if they can recover from it next year is enough for me to watch again. .. I'd probably rather it was atrocious again...

Once you have the vanilla MC itch it can be hard to shake.

I'd play the hell out of Dinofield 4.. The world didn't need Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon either but that was fun. The idea of such a nice engine and talented team working on something as dumb as a dinosaur mode is genius.
War thunder takes a little getting used to, but from the 1st person view is pretty amazing. (Not cockpit view, it blocks most of the screen!) - bombing runs switching between pilot and gunner are really fun.
Its good to chip away at and slowly research new tech, you don't feel under pressure like in some f2p stuff.
I prefer War Thunder to Warframe personally.

Well, Disney obviously have no problem with Lego Marvel. So they're still open to licensing in general, even if it mostly covers obscure characters.
I do wonder if disney/marvel would have the balls to get a developer to do an 100% marvel Fighter, like DC have injustice... It would explain why they'd want to pull the rights to MVC3.. I have no idea who they'd get to develop it, but in a world where even the Silent Hill Homecoming devs can make a decent fighter all...

It has gyros etc, but it has (surely?) has no idea where it is spatially.. height, etc.. That sort of thing is achieved with a camera array on the other consoles, and can't just be done by the pad - particularly if you turn it away from the sensor bar.. ? I guess it could use rear camera data but surely all this would be a pretty big performance hit when the WiiU doesn't have it to spare. Having your perspective from the scope is pretty weird too when used to the centre of rotation be...
Excuse? Having 2 laptops stolen when not properly prepared is a hell of a lot different to having your entire office engulfed by water in a random act of nature.
