I don't get this attitude at all. Ok. You don't like it, but you know a lot of people did. Why should your opinions overrule everyone else's? There's room in the market for different types of game.
It's blatantly not shovel-ware based on the writing/music/voice acting etc, design wise you can tell a lot of thought went in to it.
I can see why some people hate it but it has definitely been a notable indie title. I'm glad is coming to mo...
"but it will still be like driving with an elephant on your back."
No it really isn't, I played through it with the 360 pad with absolutely no issues. My mouse needed charging and i didn't give it a second thought. it made literally no difference at all.
The PC version has perfectly decent controller support, why's it going to suddenly get worse on consoles?
Umm.. it's an unlosable game with almost zero accuracy required. I played through it on PC with a 360 pad anyway. It has support built in, and it really makes no difference to gameplay.
It'll work fine on consoles.
I don't think it'll review well in console circles though, definitely not among N4G users. Haha.
@Ju It uses a custom branch of OpenGL. Just like the PS3 did, in my understanding. It's based on the same OpenGL source, trimmed down and made more console specific.
Where are you getting your info?
A new version of DX isn't going to do anything which a new version of PS4-optimised OpenGL couldn't.
The hardware is what it is. Both platforms will see steady software/dev kit progress.
1.2mil is great if the team was small and there aren't many people to pay. :)
nummbers mean nothing without context.
Insiderp is an excellent name for a site. Derp.
Seems a healthy enough number of sales. :)
in before people who know nothing about the NHS try to debate the UK facts with you.
I know so many people who's lives have been saved or made liveable by the NHS for free (as in taxes).. It's not perfect but it's certainly better than a system demanding payment per treatment.
I'd be in crippling debt under the US system. People aren't responsible for getting (most types of) sick, or being in accidents, etc.
You know, the amount of disagrees you're getting really bolsters my already negative view of a big portion of this community.
Really what's the point? Have you ever heard anyone from outside of n4g refer to it in anything even approaching a positive way? I haven't, the community is like a self parody. I wonder if it's worth it?
I didn't say everyone's like that, did I?
As a community i haven't seen many worse places for quality of comments. :) there are always a load of good people too. I wouldn't bother posting if it wasn't for those guys.
The only one of those i can see myself fitting in is "nut-jobs" , as thats down to interpretation, really. I can state pretty clearly I'm not a child (not even close), closed minded (how so?) uneducated (objecti...
The HMV in Leeds is still fully operational. I bought my Vita there a couple of weeks ago. :)
N4G is a hive of: children, the closed minded, uneducated, homophobes, religious fundamentalists, nut-jobs and fanboys. Respect for posting an opinion you must have known would rile up a lot of idiots.
I'd be happy to see more minorities represented in games. Couldn't do any harm. It sickens me how people see fit to cast judgement on others who are doing no harm to anyone.
youtube.com/tv omg the ps4 has youtube now too! Its a miracle!
@MightyNoX Maybe, one day if controller attachments take off.. Maybe they'll get better "proper game" developer support from big studios (other than Squeenix who seem a bit iOS obsessed..) Maybe? Who knows.
The 3DS still sells well, perhaps Nintendo can follow that up with another success. As much as I love the Vita it feels a bit of an afterthought lately. :(
Not all kids. :) My little girl gets into longer stuff too, on iOS and Vita, PS3/4 etc.. There are going to be a whole lot more "real" gamers after our generation just off the back of all these gaming parents around.
There'll be more casual gamers too, but oh well. Different strokes!
I had absolutely no idea there even was a foursquare app... So I'm not exactly traumatised by this news. :D
Aww. :( It's not a big deal and I can see why it's like this if all the animations have been made and gameplay set up around 30fps fixed..
But this is definitely the sort of game that'd benefit from 60fps.
Luckily It's also the sort of game that tech like motionflow or other frame interpolators work really well on too though so I guess we can ramp that up on (many of our) TVs and get extreeeeme smoothness.
As reported by.. Oh wait doesn't matter.
Maxing out means very little really. Games from all phases of the consoles lifespan will be using as much juice as the devs know how to squeeze from the system.. In the future the same things will be easier to squeeze out due to more mature dev libraries and knowing the hardware better... You could make an argument that most AAA titles are close to maxing out the system, but 5 years from now games will look much more trchnically impressive, regardless.
Just like every other ...
I never said it was only your opinion. It's a common opinion. What difference does that make, exactly? There are also a lot of people who enjoyed it. Name one controversial game that doesn't have tons of negative reviews.
Lets be clear, this was a game about an issue a lot of people don't like, designed for a small demographic that relies on nostalgia and pop culture references from a time that most modern gamers won't even relate to. It was always going to be...
